Shigeru Miyamoto's First Anime Film 'Pikmin Short Movie' to Premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival
| The official site of the Tokyo International Film Festival announced the premiere of a 3D short animated film titled Pikmin Short Movie. The film will be a compilation of three short stories and is from the Nintendo Pikmin game series. The festival will be held on October 23-31. The animated film is a project that Shigeru Miyamoto, a Japanese video game designer, created to explore the characters in a way his games could not. | Damn! I'm looking forward to seeing if he can work the same magic in anime as he does in his games. The fact that Pikmin' almost ghibli-esque atmosphere feels so perfect for anime is a bonus as well |

That's actually really smart, good, and has been attempted multiple times in the past for various games. I surely would like the outcomes to be something better, though. For example, the Fire Emblem OVA. They were made just to be there, while they could hold high quality and succeed as a standalone due to the name shining in a positive list prior to it as well. |
