Overall, a funny OVA. That's a lot of Squid Girl merchandise in that room...almost unhealthy levels. The ending was somewhat anti-climatic though. |

| We definitely need S3. This is one of those Anime that I can never hate and get bore of. The 3 scientist was absence but at least we get to see Sanae obsession for Ika again. |

| Poor Sanae got busted by Kiyomi with all of her Squid Girl paraphernalia! Luckily, it looks like Kiyomi is going to be cool about it and not narc on Sanae. Let's hope. I am a huge fan of well-known director Tsutomu Mizushima (水島努) who has done tons of great stuff including Genshiken, both seasons of Kujibiki Unbalance, both seasons of Squid Girl and Girls und Panzer. Right now he is directing SHIROBAKO which seems to be semi-autobiographical. So today I looked and looked to try to spot his name in the credits. I watched both the OP and the ED twice, doing lots of pausing all the while. Not only is Mizushima not mentioned (in any capacity), but it appears that this OVA has no director ( kantoku / 監督 ) at all. That is unusual, although not unprecedented. At 08:36/24:02, I noticed a view of the beach house from the back side, looking down from the sidewalk. It looked not quite right. So I went back to Episode 1 of the original 2010 series. Yes, it is the same beach house. However, the art work is a bit substandard. It took me quite a long time to get a geometrical picture of what I was looking at. This is what the background artists are paid for. I think that this is the kind of thing that Mizushima would angrily have insisted to be re-done. So I am guessing that there could be more things about this OVA that show that there was in fact no captain of this ship. Did something happen behind the scenes that made Mizushima demand his name to be taken off the final work? |

| It's the end. Overall, with the two seasons, I guess it's a fun anime to watch. I don't know if there's any more but I'm glad I stayed in the de-geso train ride. |
| Oh damn do I miss this show! This was like usual hilarious! Really fun and cute so all in all some awesome OVA's 7/10 would love another season of this wonderful franchise! |

| LOL, Sanae's plan was actually very well thought, it really worked exactly how she wanted to, except for Kiyomi discovering her collection. If she hadn't give Kiyomi so much things maybe Ika would really have gotten friendly with her. |

| Well, it's finally over.. :( This was a very funny ride. I absolutely loved everything, including those two music videos and Chibi Ika specials. |
