Aside from animes like Cowboy Bebop,Haruhi, and Lcuky Star I would have to say that Needless (Even though its currently ongoing) and Gurren Lagann are the most memorable for me.

Most memorable would have to be Cowboy Bebop purely because Spike is just so damn cool, Naruto because it was my first and Vampire Knight because it was the the series that had me falling in love with anime.

I would have to say Naruto, it was one the first awesome series I saw. One of the series with the most emotional and edge-of-my-seat moments, scenes that the cool Bleach could not achieve for me.

-The end of Haku and Zabuza arc (*sob*)
-Lee Vs. Gaara (episode 50 was a tear jerker...)
-Chouji Vs. Jiroubou
-Naruto Vs. Sasuke

Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 --> I love big robots
Ranma 1/2 --> Good combination of martial arts, comedy, and storyline.
Slayers --> Who wouldn't love comical magicians with kick ass powers.

I grew up on all three of these shows so how could I forget them.

As sad as this is, it has to be DBZ. While all the other kids were wearing capes trying to be Batman, I was practicing my kamehameha and trying to go super saiyan.

Clannad - After story just too emotionally captivating

totally agree, i just finished it, and wow. it pulled so much emotion out of you (happy to incredibly depressing), and not to mention it had one of the best endings i've seen in a long time

usually love series except for the endings, because they tend to take it to a really emotional place, and then pull it way back right at the end (like a certain season ending that still aggravates me to this day)

but anyway, the last time i've been so emotionally attached to a show was toradora (though much more lighthearted, but it still holds a special place)

just for the sake of great overall story: code geass, definitely. and beck (being a musician, and the relationship between maho and koyuki was so unorthodox and just really genuine)
