From shoujo to josei

I'm sure i'm not the only one who has grown tired of the usual shojo bs , so maybe someone can recommend me a romantic story on the more mature side . I've read some josei's like Nodame Cantabile / Kimi wa pet and it's exactly what i'm looking for. Cheers

I'd suggest Honey & Clover, Sakamichi No Apollon, Paradise Kiss.
Hapi Mari is not bad too, but definitely not at the same level.

"Jinsei Best 10" - one episode in the anthology Otona Joshi no Anime Time; you might like the first episode as well as it is bittersweet; the other two are probably too dark for your tastes

Well, I would recommend Skip Beat even though it's a shoujo. But the characters are fleshed out, unlike some shoujo manga.
