Hello, I've come to a standstill with watching anime, excluding the currently airing ones.
Recommend some to watch, please. I don't need yaoi, yuri and whatever. If possible, don't suggest a vampire show or a mecha or shounen with a bad animation. Anything else is fine.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your suggestions, I'll check some of them out.
Thanks. Are the Madoka movies really worth watching?

It depends... The most common opinion I've heard is that people are interested in and like the direction of the story, but not how it got there. I'll be honest, I lot of the writing in the third Madoka Movie is just straight up bad, but it still manages to be engaging nonetheless. It's not as good as the series, and it's very hit or miss as to whether or no YOU will like it, but I would still recommend anyone who watched the original series to at least try it.

Frankly I thought the third Madoka movie was pretty unsatisfying. It seemed largely a collection of scenes designed to appeal to the fanbase, and a playground for SHAFT to spend a larger budget. I tried watching it again with a friend who enjoyed the series, too, and he lost interest after a half-hour or so.

I've already watched Spice and Wolf and don't want to watch Kill la Kill. Thank you for your contribution, anyways. Any more anime to suggest?
You can also check my plan to watch list, should I watch some or remove some? I've been reluctant on starting any of them for some years already.

From your plan to watch list, check out Shinsekai yori, Great Teacher Onizuka or Ergo Proxy. The others I haven't seen.

- Shinsekai yori: sci-fi mystery set in a dystopian future
- Great Teacher Onizuka: slice of life, comedy, shounen (since it's fairly old, you may want to check out a trailer to see whether you like the animation but I highly recommend the anime)
- Ergo Proxy: sci-fi mystery set in a dystopian future
