You don't get domestic terrorism charges for false police reports, and the maximum penalty for this type of thing is 20 years even in the strictest states. The "news source" that circulated this story "National Report" is known for click bait false stories they've done it many times in the past. |

| As said, it's fake, and the only way someone could get that kind of prison sentence for that kind of crime would be if it resulted in serious injury or death to the victim or a third party, in which case it's the other charges related to the act that are racking up the tally. Aside from the original source being a known fake news outlet (they call it satire, but apparently removed the disclaimer), the article also states the sentence inaccurately. You can't be sentenced to "25 to life," as that's just the range that the sentence can be in, not a sentence itself. |
