I'm quite curious on the topic and I want to know your thoughts as well.

Are any of you dropouts if so what are you doing now? why did you drop out? do you want to drop out?

The only high-school drop outs I know personally are now heroin addicts.
Of course, correlation doesn't imply causation, but you can't help but be skeptical.

Which is even funnier because that was complete bullshit made up by the "Ripleys Believe it or Not" guy. Einstein was a mathematical prodigy in high school, the rumors I assume stem from him being obstinate to his "superiors" in university.

I think that they are dropouts and you can use that term to insult the because they are literally dropouts or maybe dropkicks too.

But

They could still use - Eminem,Rich Guy, Facebook guy as excuses too because they were high school dropouts.

Dropping out of college depends, a lot of people drop out because they have a narrow window of opportunity open elsewhere. Others only went because their parents wanted them too and can't handle the heat in the kitchen.

It doesn't really matter unless you plan to get scholarships to fancy colleges or some shit.

If someone drops out of highschool, they probably aren't planning on any higher education anyway, and they could just get a GED... every job application I've seen asks what your highest level of education is with a little bubble next to "Highschool diploma or GED" so they're equivalent in the eyes of employers.

Technically I haven't dropped out yet, as I've been home schooled for the last two or three years, but for the majority of that time I haven't really done anything that has to do with an official education. You could say that I dropped out about a year and a half ago, but it's not actually legal to do that until I'm 16 (shh, don't tell anyone.)

I used to be worried about not having a "proper" education, but now I don't care. I educate myself with things that I find interesting and useful, and that's good enough for me. School is too much of a hassle.

I'm sure I'll figure something out, even if I technically only have a 6th grade-level education.

Don't drop out of high school it's bad, it's not that bad to drop out of college providing you learned a trade beforehand or have a good plan.

There should be no excuse barring extenuating circumstances for not graduating high school. College/university is a different story, but if you do decide to attend and end up dropping out, you'd better have already planned your future out.

Allow me to quote a Spoken Word from Suli Breaks (click the spoiler):

Education is what you make it. Help yourself. Don't rely solely on books and schools to teach you. You need to teach yourself to be successful.

If you've done a year or so in highschool and its still just not working out, then the only reason to stay is for that piece of paper.

Otherwise you might as well drop out early. If you drop out senior year that guy who dropped out 10th grade has 2 years work experience on you.

Education in its current manifestation aint for everyone.

Looked up the terms at Urban Dictionary. Only a NEET. And it is because I am having vacation until I get my Job next year.
The father of one of my friends has a position in his company but until then I can relax :D So everything is going according to my plans.

I had the thoughts about half a year ago to drop out of uni, but I was just stressed out. Dropping out of highschool is most likely not worth it (although it can still be remedied, given the right circumstances), and dropping out of college... Well, if it doesn't feel right and/or you're not enjoying yourself, why keep spending money on it?

There at times where I want to quit college because I'm having a hard time with the classes I'm taking for my major, well mostly for math. I'm majoring in computer science, and I haven't got passed minor yet which is sad.

Schools exists for the teachers and to keep young people busy. They're daycare centers for people. If you feel like you want to do something in your life, then by all means drop out. Or if you feel you need the insurance and safety of being in some facility, then stay. I stayed for too long myself and it's hard to make up for the time which was lost.

High school: Holyshit if you even use just a lil bit, just a lil bit, like, very little, amount of effort, nobody should be failing high school.

University/College: Do not waste money. If you do go, think about the money invested into your education at least. Unless you are financially set without the diploma, don't drop out. Conversely, if you don't care about money or education, then wtf were you in university in the first place?

It doesn't matter. A degree or diploma was never a good indicator of intelligence or hard-work to begin with. Even if someone doesn't have a high school diploma, it doesn't mean they aren't intelligent. Maybe they just don't give a shit about a high school diploma?
