Decent episode. There were some analysis on the tactic of ball throwing and catching on the sidelines. It was funny seeing Eijun reacting if he knows everything. Some of the players introduced by the narrator was very impressive especially Mei.

That last scene sends some thrills :o

Inashiro's catcher looks so badass. I think it's nice that we can expect a good semi final game even though it seems to be clear who will play in the final.

What I really like is that they gave the knuckleball guy some background story ^^

K...Kamio plays baseball?!

Dang, Sakurazawa seems awesome. Definitely looking forward to see what Mei is planning on doing.
Hah, that knuckleball reminds me of one outs.

I still can't believe that Sakurazawa's coach is a male...I mean, when I read the manga I pictured him as a old woman. It's really refreshing seeing Akira's knuckleball working well against Inashiro. Even more when he manages to get a strike out of Narumiya! (serves you right)

"Are they just playing catch?!" LOL, Sawamura! You really know how to make me laugh.

Inashrio vs Sakurazawa!
Some background from the guys in Sakurazawa!
Still... for Inashiro the favourite of the tournament to be unable to hit those knuckles!
Mei being ready for a pitching battle! Perhaps another dark horse comes and wins :P

I have always thought the Sakurazawa coach as a grandma... but the anime is portraying it as a grandpa. >.<

Really like that knuckleball pitch.

Good episode, nice to see the knuckleball. Actually paused the episode midway through to research it a little.
No way they can win though, they don't haven't any good hitters.

Lol glad to know I wasn't the only who thought Sakurazawa's coach was a grandma when reading the manga...was pretty surprised to hear a male's voice coming out of the coach.

Anyways, it's a battle of the pitchers! Mei's super competitive so watch out Akira. But really liking Akira's knuckleball because it seems to float rather than being reliant on speed (and control) like most of the pitches we've seen so far from various pitchers.

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. The knuckle ball pitcher was really interesting to see and the coach is an awesome coach to have.

Good episode. Although not about Seido, it still was enjoyable. I kind of want Akira and his team to actually win but I know it won't happen >.< unless of some miracle. I'm excited to see what will happen next with their game. A battle of the pitchers is always fun.

I thought Narumiya's laugh sounded like Monobear's, but "Pitching of Despair"? lmao

I'd like to see these kids win, but it's pretty obvious they won't against characters that were introduced so long ago. Sigh. My only qualm with sports animes sometimes is when the results of the match are so instantly obvious.

Really enjoyed this episode. Mei is one funny and badass character at same time. first he fails 3 times at that knuckle ball (which looked hilarious) and then gives the other team a reality chek :D Awesome!

Mei is just too friggin arrogant, I don't like him :/ but I can't hate him for some reason <_< He's got the strength to back up his big words. Quite the formidable pitcher.

Liking Akira quite a lot. His Zen mind state face looked friggin BA when he struck out Mei ^^

And Sakurazawa is like a team of Ei-chan's (Baby Steps) with all the notes lol

I also thought he was an old woman from behind (not reading the manga) and even from the front maybe... well until I heard his voice lol

It would be nice if Sakurazawa won though I doubt they will :(

Surprising, it doesn't seem that they're gonna be dragging this match out like they've been doing in the last 10 or so episodes. Well, with 75(?) episodes, they should just barely make it to the end of the final, given the absurd length of it.

It was really surprising, since in the manga his students only refer to him as 'Professor' or with neutral Japanese pronouns. Still...when I heard male voice coming out of him, I was like WTF.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that not sympathizes with Narumiya. I really don't like his atitude, but he's an outstanding pitcher.

wish they had a different VA for Mei, I already hate the character... but kaji yuki makes me want to flip shit every time he talks /O (that annoying). literal piece of trash. i hope he loses (dies) in the upcoming battle with seido. as much as i want the sakura kids to win, theyre adorable... they wont cause they dont have any good batters :///.

I like the Sakurazawa team and their coach more than Inashiro, they're more humble.
I'm very upset honestly, I've been spoiled about what's going to happen in this anime and I didn't want to let it upset my experience but it looks like that's what's already happening... *goes into zen mode to keep on going*

I really like the backround story of Sakurazawa road to becoming a powerhouse.

That knuckleball is sure a something, but Mei's declaration at the end was also hella badass.

This will be an intense match.

A knuckleball mc pitcher would've been good as well. I really hope Inashiro loses this so I can see Mei's smug face turn upside down.

They brought out some more underdogs. I want them to win, but the plot is against them. I also wonder, is the only difference between Eijun's balls and these "knuckle balls" is that his spin and they don't? I ask this because, aside from that reason, they seem the same to me.

Always cool to see a knuckleball in anime. Sakurazawa's underdog story of slowly becoming stronger is an interesting one, too bad they aren't the protagonist team and face against an absolute powerhouse who have Kanto's best pitcher Mei.

I'm blown away with Sakurazawa School's rapid improvement in a single year. After suffering so many losses, they made it to the semi-finals.

But now they’re going against one of the best schools in the region.

The final result is inevitable

At first I was gonna complain about every team needing a backstory, but this knuckleball thing is sick! Haha

Pitcher face-off, how cool

Deffs got my money on Mei tho. His team is too good
