According to Weekly Shonen Jump vol.48 (official release date: October 26th), a movie of "Gintama" was announced. The detail and the type of the movie will be given in the next issue. Source: Scan of Weekly Shonen Jump Updated on Oct 29th At the end of Gintama anime episode 181, "Gekijyoban Gintama Shin-yaku Benizakura-hen (Gintama Movie Crimson Sakura Chapter New Edition)" was announced to be premiered in 2010. ALL HAIL GINTAMA! I think there was a Gintama movie already announced in one of the episodes...I think it was the Benizakura arc *coughfakecough*  The beauty of blue, silent night under the moon between the darkness of the sky. About time an official film was announced, i mean one in the series has been announced about five times already. :3 Yeah i also hope it'll be focused on the past war. |

And of course, the details and such aren't known yet so everything is possible. Still, it would be epic if it's really a movie and not some weird thing... But then again, it would be great. Hope it comes out while I am still in Japan :P The list grows longer for me.. gotta see the Nodame Cantabile live action movies, Eden of the East movies, Trigun Movie, and now Gintama XD Yay!  In Japan, the land of cheap manga and expensive everything else |
