| I got a feeling that, style-wise, animation is inconsistent and I hate the fact that I recognize some scene styles as a mash-up of other popular animes. Could be just me. Story is nothing amazing so far, will look through the 11 episodes that I got downloaded and see what to do afterwards. |

| I agree, fun episode. Lucy seems a little useless at the moment and i'm not completely in love with her. Natsu is awesome so far though! The opening for the show is really good, animation is decent aswell. Looking forward to watching future episodes. |

| The music in this anime is very refreshing! The characters on the other hand don't seem like anything out of the ordinary, just your typical shounen cast. (hopefully with more character development they become more "unique") xD |

| This episode was so funny. Natsu calling Lucy Luigi XD We got to know some of the other members of Fairy Tail too, they were nice :) I really liked Makarov :) |

| holy shit, everyone in the guild is crazy, that brawl was great, had a good laugh when Mirajane got hit, i didn't expect it. got a nice bit of back story for Natsu. the comedy is good, got a kick out of the guy Lucy summoned |
| Gray is cool! Not really into Lucy having to be saved - something tells me that might be a common pattern with the show. :/ I want to see her become stronger so she can hold her own. Natsu is awesome once again though. And the whole guild is hilarious. The first half of this episode had me dying. |

| Defeated 19 of those brutes? That's pretty impressive. Natsu spitting those hot coals was pretty funny. The fire version of Bullet Seed Pokemon move. Best part was Lucy's expression when she entered the guild. All hell broke loose and she was like WTF is going on here. |

| yeah, this is childish. but it's shounen, it is targeted towards a younger audience which most of us aren't. "oh, but narutobleachonepiece wasn't this childish." yes, it was. now that i finished reading naruto [never could sit through the entire anime], i think it has much more meaning than this. but i remember not liking naruto for years because i couldn't get passed the 6th episode because it was too damn annoying. if you've read/watched any of this you can't really judge fairy tail on the SECOND episode using them. and "too generic", but let's be real, what isn't generic in the shounen of today? everything has been done and redone ad infinitum and we're still watching stuff we like because of a character of a plot twist or whatever. so far, i don't think it has nothing really special that's gonna make me sit through the millions of episodes, but i already kinda like a few characters and it is fun... the only thing i find funny in the whole discussion is how the people that are complaining about the magic circles all read the manga. yes, they are not there. but they would've never worked in that media. idk, i kinda like them here. i just think they look a bit cheap, but it has more to do with the quality of the animation than with the circles themselves... and let's be honest, we have enough episodes to get used to it. |
