Not a lot of changes after 2 weeks, Futsuu no Joshikousei ga【Locodol】Yattemita, Sabagebu! and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun all had event ticket boosts, but that only applies to the first volume. Sword Art Online II, Persona 4 and Free S2 dropped down, but thats about it. Read more at http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1213237&show=60#D2sK3yKQ2y4gYHjq.99 JoJo is 7k down on S1v1(Wk1) and only 1k down on the last volume of wk1 of the last volume. So it could have been worse. All 52 episodes will most likely cost close to 1200$, so its not surprising it went down. Icebreaker93 said: Low sales for JoJo Not really. |

Its a even bigger success for shows that expansive. More episodes does not magically change how much copies something needs to sell to have good sales, its not like those shows are cheaper in the episode-to-cost department. |

Icebreaker93 said: Low sales for JoJo It isn't low, as 10k is considered "hit" status. However if you compare these sales to season 1, JoJo has clearly suffered a sequel drop as most other anime do. Vol.1 already down to 12,111 in the 1st week. Vol.9 of Season 1 sold better than that (13,990), and it was on sale for 2 days less than Vol.1 of Season 2. Wisdom tells us, sales will just continue to slide volume by volume... so possibly by the last volume it could be below 10k 1st week sales. Vol.1 of Season 2 should hit around 15k though, as Season 1 was around 75% front loaded.

Low sales for Jojo indeed, but you have to remember that this is a rather old franchise and a lot of older people I know do not really preorder and just buy it when they see it. Hopefully this is the case here as well. And as others have said, this is a 4-cour show and a lot of people probably only prefer to have certain fights. |

So how much of a boost exactly is Free!'s S2 OP week 1 from S1? I think S1's sold around 15k it's first week? I don't remember exactly. Also, Love Stage!!'s OP or ED comes out tomorrow? I'mma have to wait a week to see just how bad it will hurt knowing BL adaptions are gunna die after that flops. (This is a joke since I know someone in here will take this seriously.) Anyway, not much I care about this week other than that. |

Its disc sales would probably be enough for a 2nd season, and the boost to the source material (which was the light novel) was really impressive. Just depends if a further boost to the source material is needed, whether there is more source material to adapt (haven't read the light novel anyhow), and a few other factors will determine if a 2nd season is made. |

Can't take that away from them. I do agree about NGNL though (btw, I've seen this Nogenora abbreviation used a few times already and tbh it's pretty stupid; go with NGNL instead). Concerning the news itself, I'd love to see JoJo sell a bit more. Regardless of it having 50+ episodes. |

rederoin said: Nidhoeggr said: Considering the popularity of the third part I expected more, rederoin. Popularity does not equal disc sales, just like at mekaku. You can try to sugercoat it all you want, but a major drop from S1 when PArt 3 is considered one of the most famous manga arcs (in all of manga) in history is a huge disappointment for any JoJo fan. If Stardust Crusaders can't sell as well, then what about less popular JoJo arcs in the future? The thing is many people were expecting it to OUTSELL S1 since JOJO is a series where it didn't really become popular until Part 3. |

Good to see NGNL holding strong, and it should add more next week. Also, Love Live! just keeps rolling along. There is plenty of material as they only used 3 of the 6 novels, and a second season would most likely follow the same pace of 3 novels/12 episodes. |

That great and all, but it does not change anything about it having good sales and a normal sequel drop for an anime, and its still enough for P4. Not to mention that BD sales are not the only thing to determine another sequel. If p4 gets animated, the series will have over 100 episodes, way more than most anime can even dream off. Not to mention we don't know how big the tail will be. |

Although someone mentioned it, I wonder if the sales will actually go up for some of the episodes released (the better fights) for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Especially next year after the Egypt section hits. |

Especially next year after the Egypt section hits. Since that sort of stuff happens extreme rarely for other series, I doubt it will happen for JoJo. Only extras can boost the later volumes above the first volume. KKK is the only example I can think of that had a larger v2 than v1(without any amazing extras), but that was a sub-1k seller. |

Lol at people thinking Jojo is low XD show me a 40+ episode series that sold 10K+ per volume (2-3 episode per volume) :( And remember that the manga sales are getting a boost to. It's mostly episodic too, I'm only buying the ones with fights I like e.g. D'arby, Vanilla Ice, Dio This deserves so much more, it ain't even funny :( 21. *3,521 13,633 Tokyo Ghoul OP "unravel" by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure |

I'm happy to hear about there being enough material to adapt, being a fan of Nogenora. That means it should have a high chance of getting a 2nd season eventually. Rachmaninow said: I do agree about NGNL though (btw, I've seen this Nogenora abbreviation used a few times already and tbh it's pretty stupid; go with NGNL instead). Sorry, i'm just using the abbreviation from the official twitter. Those usually stick in my mind more than other abbreviations. |
