Is there a way to block Ads using Google Chrome?

(Don't suggest to use other browsers, I really don't wanna go back to the likes of Opera or Firefox, they crash alot on me and drain my CPU like crazy.)

I switched to chromium ( what chrome is based off of ) which lets me user userscripts, disable flash, etc.
I use a userscript to not show ads.

You're supposed to be able to do the same thing if you get the dev version of chrome, but I haven't gotten it to work.

If you wish to keep your current chrome then you can try this ( I haven't )
Or you can use the adblock+ bookmarklet (found here), when you click on it the ads on the page your on disappear.

adblock+ is an extension ( extensions aren't on regular chrome yet I think ) that lets you pick any element on a site and block it.

Edit:
AdThwart is the best adblocker extension for chrome.
