The lady also took his tools before pulling the gun on the guy when he requested his tools to be returned.

Corporate tyranny must stop or it will cost lives.

Wait, you're really going to side with the woman in this case? Yes, Comcast technically shouldn't be charging extra for maintenance because if the service they're providing is not working as intended, the cost should incur on their end, but it is still crossing way over the line to pull out a gun over this dispute.

Comcast is too far gone for diplomacy, they need a scare like that so they'll change their business practices, and they need to be investigated by the FTC as they have violating FTC regulations before along with FCC regulations.

Good old Yahoo comments. The sense of entitlement runs deep.

I've never had an issue with Comcast I couldn't resolve myself. I've had billing issues here and there, but they're nothing like Verizon imo, who I had to fight with for 6 months to get a dispute settled when they claimed I never paid a bill, even though I had a bank statement proving that I did.

You just have to know how to deal with people. And I never needed a gun.

Telecom is such a big monopoly though, that the entire country would have to boycott the services in order to get a point across. Check this out. Some people might be surprised at the who-owns-who in this chart. There's always someone higher up calling the shots.

Mean-spirited my ass! The tech wasn't violent at all. The tech is just grunt - he has no control over the extra costs, he's just trying to put food on his table too.

I'd side with the lady if she pointed a gun at the CEO's chest, but this is just retarded.

Comcast is a yandere, it won't let you go as in it just won't let you cancel their service normally. They are also the masters of damage control, they'll damage control so you will never leave either and intimidate you if damage control doesn't work.

Well that's weird. The image is 600 x 6000 (roughly) so it should be legible. Might be a problem with tinypic and imgur was being ghey and wouldn't load even though it was only 1MB in size.

Try this.

I haven't had TV since I moved out of my parents' house. I just pay for internet. It's quite a liberating feeling actually.

Sounds like both Comcast and the women were at fault. Glad I never have to deal with Comcast.

Well, to be perfectly fair, I do have a tv, which is off 99% of the time.

The 1% is for live sports games...that's pretty much it.

During the WC, I actually watched more TV in June than the first 5 months of the year combined.

You forget that most TV people watch is either downloaded or streamed now.

Women can pull a gun on someone and get sympathy. yup. What's wrong with some crazy cunt threatening to shoot some rude ass twit who probably has it just as rough?

Got rid of my TV, my console. I exclusively PC, torrent and stream. So I can't relate even if I tried. but pulling a gun on someone because they were rude? lol. Psychopathic, aren'tcha?

The lady clearly plays way too much GTA. That's the normal reaction one would have when they're walking down the streets of LS or LC and a random NPC insults your style of dress.

Agreed, the only victim here was the tech, he can't do the work without her approving to paying the charges or he could, and most likely would lose his job. Then he gets his tools taken from him, which he would need for future jobs and the cherry on top, gets a gun "shown" to him by a woman he doesn't know that just took them...tsk tsk

Using a gun as a means to show dissatisfaction hardly prevents corporate tyranny, especially considering this is a 'laymen'. He has no say in corporate policy and had she accidently (or purposefully) shot him, it wouldn't be Comcast on the chopping block nor would it likely change anything about how they do business.

I certainly do feel her pain though. I had Comcast for approximately 5 years or so and it was pretty poor service, but certainly not bad enough to threaten someone with a firearm.

Is it racist of me to think that the customer lady is black?

I wish the article told us her ethnicity. Fucking awful journalism right there.
