I guess if some people here started reading one piece weekly from chapter one, they would've dropped it long ago because of the "pacing" which is nothing new at all as stated above.
Most people started reading op on weekly basis at ~Whitebeard war saga so they were used to intense action filled chapters which doesn't apply to the entirety of One Piece at all.
I give credits to Oda-sensei who manages so tease the fandom so much that those complaints from some fans simply underline his great work.

I think you hit the nail on the head there, a lot of this has to do with those fans that caught up with the anime at WB saga. That arc was a huge melee, unlike anything else prior in One Piece. I think people got the wrong idea that this was the norm, when it most certainly isn't. As I said on my earlier comment; One Piece is an adventure manga, not a fighting Shonen.

It's a fighting Shonen and an adventure manga, it can be both... it even has a tournament arc.

Right, what I meant to say is that it's an adventure manga first, then a fighting manga. My point is that this isn't a manga that revolves around fights, like for example Dragon Ball or Yu Yu Hakkusho.

Probably because it's seems too repetitive, where Luffy must wandering before he found the final boss. Actually it also kinda pissed me off.

The way Oda-sensei always switching scenes like that also really bad for me. While the plot certainly moving, but it's really hard to notice when in 1 chapter he switch the scenes like 5-8 times. I don't remember this style before on pre-ts.

Since Minagatachi used Don Chinjao as an example I'll go off that for my comparison.

Luffy Begins fighting Blueno in chapter 383. It then cuts away and jumps around between the strawhats and the franky family guys for abut 3 and a half chapters before finally going back to Luffy. Luffy goes gear third at the end of the chapter so we have to wait til chapter 388 for the fight to conclude. The jumping around stretches that fight into about 6 chapters.

The Chinjao fight starts in 216, it jumps away a few pages into 217 then finishes in 219. This fight happens over 4 chapters because of the jumping around.

So it was still a very much present factor, although it wasn't quite as frequent and is less noticeable in a marathon. Also I'm not really defending it btw, just pointing out how these things aren't some new thing. It can get pretty annoying during certain chapters.

I don't really point out the pacing, as i said it certainly moving. But what annoyed me the most was the switching scenes which Oda seems mostly used in this arc. He should just focus on 1-4 scenes(Ennies Lobby) at most instead 5-8 per chapter(Dressrossa).

This is also become my worries about how bad TOEI will adapted it, it will be their excuse to stall the plot with the switching scene time(actually they already did) as those switching scenes can eat up about 10 - 15 seconds(if TOEI really tries so hard) in animation.

Contrarily to what seems to be the trend here, I find this episode satisfying in terms of story/events happening. Let's just remember that we are still in the transition before the main battles take part and taking that into account, a lot of stuff has happened that is plot relevant... Kinemon has escaped with Kanjuro and the prisoners, Franky has freed the dwarves from the factory, and Mansherry has finally appeared, we now know that she's alive, where she is, and that she has an apparently huge unknown power that could benefit both Doflamingo and King Riku.

You know, I want to see some Fujitora vs Sabo as well, but I really doubt that this is going to play a relevant role in the immediate events of the story. Fuji from the beginning in Dressrosa has been a secondary character in terms of the action, he couldn't resolve anything with Doflamingo and I think his role is more set for the post-war (when Doflamingo is defeated and/or the situation in Dressrosa turns back to normality) events than now, or as a piece of information on the Reverie and the intentions of the World Government. Sabo so far... after the Colosseum events he doesn't seem to have a clear role either. Let's say that I'm more interested about Koala's inspections, and they don't seem to be given focus in the near future, maybe by the end of the arc.

Zoro vs Pica... among the whole scheme of fights that can happen in Dressrosa, this is only second to Gladiators vs Doflamingo Family in terms of lack of interest. I just don't care that much for Zoro's fighting, but I guess we'll have some chapters for this. Hopefully it will go more in the line of the fight against Kaku during Enies Lobby, my favorite so far of this character.

Oh yeah, and on the chapter... Franky being Franky is so hot it burns. Really liked this one.

meh i guess everyone has different tastes. I wont argue that their was a decent amount of plot progression. However none of the stuff that happened this chapter interested me. I dont give a crap about the Dwarves or the Prisoners.
In fact the Dwarves kinda annoy me. imo the Giant kids from the Punk hazard arc is way more interesting then them.

Of course i think the main reason for that is Oda focused so much on the Colosseum battle, that he wasn't able to focus on the dwarves enough to make us like them. Not that im bitching, cause the Colosseum battle is the best part of this arc hands down.

The things i would like to see, is law's back story. Insight as to what big mom, and CP0 is doing. most of all i wanna see Sabo vs Fujitora and Luffy vs Doflamingo

I realize we can't just jump into the final battle, and that their is always going to be boring chapters no matter what arc were in. but i wish Oda would rush some of the more boring parts. At least it seams like were getting into the final battles though.

There are like 7-9 chapters left until the volume ends and the previous one ended on Law and granades panel. So it's 99% sure that the flashback is gonna start soon. 9 chapters is abosolute maximum, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna start in next 2-4 chapters.

A chapter oozing masculinity. I guess.

I had the same thought. She could be the "Shirahoshi of Dressrosa". I hope it's not a devil fruit power again

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought too. Even the cries match.

Boring chapter for this one. Nothing really happened, just a shitty fight between Franky and Senor Pink, and we got to know that Manshelly got some powers.

Another boring chapter, same slow pacing, the series is dragging, it feels like I'm watching the anime version of one piece.

Oda get your shit together! And why are you delaying Law flashback? The manga has been so boring from lately, oda needs to bring in something into this series to spice up these boring ass chapters.

2.5/5 Oda stop slacking off!

"Feels like watching the anime of one piece"

So accurate.

1/5 for this one.

That was so disgusting Franky! I never imagined he would do that. It was so cringed!!!

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!
