Damn i hoped for more action. Probably only starting with next chapter or the one after that we can finally see things get somewhere ... i miss all the dramatic gantz scenes of fighting. Their pace of killing the aliens is way to slow, they should act a bit faster ... first shoot then ask question, that's what they should do.

Also wonder if the large forehead guy will be a part in this. He just has to set a "death-counter" on the mecha-soldiers to kill them, right? ^^

I still can't figure out what direction the writer is trying to take this manga on. Is he finally concluding the story, or is he just starting a whole new post apocalyptic arc?

one of these mechs needs to step on kato's little brother so he can go all beserker rage and we can get the arc started proper.

This chapter must be really nice for scanlation groups for its nearly total lack of words. Well, this could all actually be done in a 1 page spread, but no. I'm hoping we see some progression next chapter.

I will let this chapter slide for once. Oku needed to create an atmosphere of chaos and rampant fear for the areas where these giant behemoths landed and I think that that's crucial to really characterize the "Katastrophe" for the latter stages of this arc. Oku has to exhibit that the robots are daunting and not pushovers.

this is why giant robot (or whatever those things are) doesn't translate well to manga unless a good number of pages and 2-page spreads are dedicated to portraying the destruction caused by these mechs.

Giant robots destroying the city. There was no need for such a pointless chapter! Same thing happening on most of the pages. Hopefully he'll pick up the story and action in the next chapter.
