| I wouldn't worry all that much about it. Yes the first 26 episodes are the best, but the last 11 are still good in their own right. Is it as good as the first 26 episodes? No. But it's still enjoyable. |

| For what it is, the last third of Death Note is still good. My only problem is that it moved away from what made the show awesome and became more like your typical suspense thriller - it's still above average for that category, but it no longer has what made Death Note special. The finale was great, though. |

| Personally I thought it was just as good. Some people said it wasn't the same, and iirc Ohba originally wanted to end the manga at that spot, but the delectable sleuthing continues. (But the manga ending is better) |
