Mostly a recap. The animation was somewhat more fluent than usual, and heck, the new opening sucks.

New OP and ED already?

Well it's been another.. 12-13 eps or so since they changed 'em last time x)

The worst episode as yet, but of course is expected of a recap episode.

All though i did think that the whole premise of this series would be that there was no fillers. I would have proffered the small amt of information/backstory of the father be presented in a proper way.

Was there character development, Lvhina? I'm an anime only viewer, and it seemed like they tried to toss in some conflict for the sake of a recap. The fact that a problem is introduced and resolved in one episode shows how not huge it is. And since we have no notion of Hoenheim's character, we don't know when this episode took place, let alone that he was developed.

You seem to be just as bad as Fai to think the polar opposite of him regardless of the content of the story. What I see in your comment is that you don't pay attention when there is fighting going on. Forget the fact that a lot of this recap went over the fighting, you even go on to say they try to give an "actual" story here. News flash: this is a recap. You should already be painfully aware of a lot of the development that went on during this show. But I guess because it's a shounen, you zone out during the fights which have proven to be the main source of developing characters and plot.

Don't be a troll people. If you're unwilling to see the faults or feats of this show you end up sounding like a fool. Saying contrary things that don't make sense furthers that opinion people will have of you.

So... does this mean the series will run one ep per week until the end? I was kinda expecting some kind of break, but with a recap episode just now, that doesn't make much sense, now does it?

Crap, i was in love with "let it all out" and i don't like this new ending full of Winry ._.
The opening is ok, but i still prefered the previous one
Recap ep, nothing much to say, except that i don't really get this "Hohenheim, other Hohenheim" thing xD well i think i'll understand someday lol

New opening and ending song were very decent. A few part manage to can my attention but overall very decent. I'm not sure why people dislike the second opening but I actually love it. New opening animation was very good but ending one was ok.

As for this episode, it confuse me until it is reveal that it's all just a dream. And a very weird one too. A recap dream and only a few new content.

Can't believe there are still many people rate love for this episode. I'm one of those that think recap episode are completely useless and waste of time, not matter how long a series is/are. Would prefer a week break than having a recap episode though.

So I'm the only one who doesn't mind recap episodes, huh? xD
I'm so positive, nothing can faze me. (Not easily anyway x'3) Haha

So am I the only one who cried in this episode when it was about to end? (Part when I was feeling so sad for Hohenheim while noglasses-Hohenheim was "talking" to him until LET IT OUT faded in for the last time 'til the episode ended)
Then the crap ED sequence & song came out... :'/ (does BONES love Winry that much? Srsly? lawl)
I like LilB (or whatever) but this song was BAD. D:
The OP however at first wasn't so good but as soon as the song came to middle 'til the end, it was actually pretty good and I didn't mind it. Might even like it later on.

Anyways...can't wait for the next ep. When is dear Kimbley gonna come out? >.<
So sad Greed had to die quickly as soon as he came out...but then

Am I the only one who liked this episode even tough it was a bit of a recap? I think it was kind of funny how he remembered the old days from a booze bottle. Maybe I liked it because I've read the manga.

this episode was okay, i was at first really confused when pinako mentioned human transmutation and him saying a sin is a sin and other things. in the end it was just a dream but it was an interesting way to do the recap this way.
nevertheless in my opinion this recap was not necessary not because recaps are boring or so. the main reason is why i don't really like recap and why they are unnecessary is, i have to wait for the actual episode a week longer and that's a pain in the ass <.<
i am really an impatient person, also i thought they would show a little bit about hohenheim's past, how he met trisha and other stuff, so i was a little bit disappointed with this episode =/

The ending was cute with Trisha.

I liked the 2nd ED better. And as for the OP, I feel like they keep getting worse. =/ Yui was the best, the 2nd OP wasn't bad, but this one isn't that good...

Blah recaps. Skipped most of the recaps and just watched the Hohenheim parts, which still weren't anything special.

I pretty much think the same.
As for ED's, 2nd was best, then 1st, and then this I suppose.
OP's, Yui is clearly the best, 2nd was decent, but this 3rd ain't half-bad either.

No, not at all. It's just a clip show with some anime-original dream sequence thrown in around the clips to make it more interesting. You will miss absolutely nothing if you skip it entirely.

It was excellent for a recap episode.
The new OP & ED are both great. Animation and soundtrack is still as awesome as always. Next episode looks great.

First off, don't do recap episodes (and even less filler)! Just take a break if you're tired. We're not addicts, we can wait , for goodness' sake. :P

That being said, this was probably the "least bad" recap/filler episode I've ever seen. It still was uncalled for though.

Second, why are people making such a fuss about OP and ED. They're not that bad (or that good), you just haven't got used to them yet.

Looking forward to the next installment, as always. :)

Pointless episode was kind of pointless, but I'm used to it from recap episodes in other series so it didn't bother me that much. Loli!Trisha made me smile.
Love the new OP. My boyfriend and I literally yelled "YEEESSS" at the same time when Buccaneer and Miles popped up. XD We then proceed to replay the Olivier/Briggs part of the OP about ten times before continuing on with the episode. Needless to say, I am excited.
Lol at the spoiler with the Homunculi in the beginning. Yeah, I know he's getting turned like next episode, but still a spoiler. :X
