I don't know if you consider Alternative as rock but if you're looking for some sad songs I suggest you listen to Mayday Parade.

I checked it...hm...it doesn't sound bad. But most of their songs are about love. So not interested

All My Love - Led Zeppelin (It isn't a romance song, it's for Robert Plant's son who died when he was one year old... so it's a genuinely sad song).

So Far Away - Avenged Sevenfold (Synyster Gates wrote this for their deceased drummer, The Rev... so again, it actually is a sad song instead of being sad just to sell).

Most of Blink-182's self-titled album is pretty depressing. But standout tracks would be:

I Miss You
Down
All of This
I'm Lost Without You

Some other songs from different bands:

The Forgotten; Macy's Day Parade - Green Day
Some Say - Sum 41
Little Death; 155; Weatherman - +44
Cancer; Disenchanted; Helena; The Ghost of You - My Chemical Romance

Hopefully some of this is to your taste!

I know MCR, and I really like Disenchanted. I also like some of the songs by Green day (21 guns, boulevard of the broken dreams).

But I'll listen later to the songs you have recommended and I'll let you know if I liked any other one of them
