| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, that was intense. I've followed the manga before and it's pretty fun. I thought the episode was cool as well with the powers but not didn't have as much humor as I had anticipated. Well, this brings me back some nostalgia:  Not bad though. I'm excited to see what's next! Getting a lot of Ga-rei vibes. |

| Okay, pro-tip. If you plan on watching this, you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of it if you watch Ga-Rei: Zero before hand. That aside, this was great for the most part. Mostly for the Ga-Rei throwbacks. Yomi... |

| Hmm wow didn't expect them to show all those characters in the first episode. We'll see how this adaptation turns out. The fighting animation's weren't anything special, so my first impressions are "meh." The soundtrack is pretty good, I guess. |

| Wow,this episode was nothing like the terrible manga I dropped.Probably because it covered what's happens near the end of the manga apparently. Sword girl=best girl. Skull Crushing Psy-kick...*facepalm* I remember that (overused) attack from the manga. Well,if anything I'll continue watching this to see more of what happens later on near the end of the manga that I never got to. ED and insert song were pretty good. Next episode starting back from the beginning,not as excited for that. |

| They probably started at the end of Part I to get people hyped but I don't think that was a necessarily good idea. |

| To everyone confused, they're just doing the exact same thing Ga-Rei: Zero did. Show half the final battle in the first episode, then show the events leading up to said battle. |

| Nice ep. I guess they changed the order of events from seeing the thread but I enjoyed the episode. Nice seeing a wide range of abilites. A little sad the white haired girl came at the end but well at least the next episode could really start with a bang. Sent with Mal Updater |

| They basically started with a got damn spoiler. I use to read the manga and i know this is near the end. Can't wait to see people reaction when they show the beginning. You might think its Slice of Life. lol |

| The (uncensored) limb-cutting and overall vibe of the episode felt like Akame ga Kill!, but with better BGM, IMO. I haven't read the manga, but according to the posts here I am to understand that Xebec started the show In media res? |

| I'm not a huge manga reader, so I have nothing to compare this episode to. I thought the episode was really good! Lots of action, cool mixture of characters, and left me wanting to know more. Definitely will check out the next episode before I make a final decision on this one! |

| wow that was really good, possibly the best first episode this season... but I have to say this season in general has a lot of promising shows (for me at least) I'm just a bit sceptical since this anime seems to have a HUGE cast - giving each person enough screen time might not be that easy.... oh and I forgot to mention that I like the BGM as well |

| lol was expecting to see rinka and pengi...but i guess i gotta wait another week... lots of Ga-Rei in this ep... i dont really like it when a series starts with a episode from the end :/ but it was pretty good, lots of action and stuff |
