I saw pacific rim one entire week early, in a theater with 4 other people, in Imax. It was fucking glorious. |

Guillermo said that the anime will have a group of younger characters and are that they are looking for an anime studio with a strong animation background. Also there's going to be cameos from characters in the first movie. |

I really want to explore things that are complimentary to the things that I want to explore in the second movie: drift, what drifting does to you, what is needed to drift, a lot of stuff that I think is important, but also the jaeger technology, the kaijus being evolved, ideas about the precursors—the guys that control the kaijus.' Seems like Guillermo del Toro's got some interesting concepts up his sleeve for this anime. I too would like to see Jaegers, Drifting and Kaiju explored more in depth. The anime is apparently going to be like a link between the first movie and the sequel. |

New Jaegers as well, though I think one or two from the first movie will return in the anime. I hope either Striker Eureka or Cherno Alpha return. Also I wonder if there will be new countries from the Pacific Rim other than USA, Australia, China and Russia in the anime. I'm guessing Japan and their Jaeger will play a more significant role in the anime. |
| Sweet, looking forward to it if its done as a proper anime with a more gritty edge. I want to see a single drift pilot piloting a jaeger with the help of a kaiju hind brain wired up to take all the strain of the drift with the machine, then the pilot goes nuts and becomes a rouge pilot. Also bring in a UK jaeger just because the breach was in the pacific doesn't mean other countries wont build jagers to support, after all the whole world is in danger everyone who could make a jaeger would and send them off to fight. |
