touma, kou's just a dick. kou liked her too and he was being a coward not to confess, so the fact that touma is trying besides the fact that he may be "forceful," he's protective and better for futaba.

Kou. I like Touma but the author has spent so much time developing his character and his and Futaba’s relationship. Touma seemed to just appear into Futaba life and basically asked for his feelings to be hurt by Futaba because he knew she was in love with Kou. Kou can be an ass hole but you can tell he always has good intentions and that he loves Futaba, some people just need a little push and that’s what Kiminato-kun does. There friends basically are a big part of them getting together. Touma was just further development for Futaba.

Honestly, I see touma - futuba relationship as a toxic one. Touma was literally forcing her. As others said, Kou represents a real side of this story - he is imperfect but he improves - summons the courage to break out of his trauma and finally to pursue futuba. I will always go for Kou in the end. Touma was never an option for me - for me an ending with the spin off won't seem a good ending at all for characters especially futuba.

Touma felt like a walking plot device who appeared and stuck around purely to cause drama. I might have liked him if he had come off as even somewhat relatable. Instead, his words and actions - both good and bad - had zero impact on my feelings because they made no sense. Kou, even at his worst, was given depth and a backstory, so you could understand his connection with Futaba. Meanwhile, Touma seemed obsessed with Futaba... why? Because she once loudly freaked out after accidentally grabbing his package, but then looked deep and thoughtful while staring out a window?
