Black Bullet (light novel)
| Is Kagetane's face ever revealed? Or at least anything hinting towards what's behind his mask aside from the vague stuff he says in the anime? |
| Funny, that reminded me of Star wars were Darth Vader is telling Luke to join the dark side and then the famous "Luke, I am your father," Perhaps one day Kagetane will tell Rentaro that he is his father. He already has been asking him to joint his side. |

I think he honestly has a completely normal face, its just one of those cases where he views the mask as his real face, so whats underneath is not important. I mean we saw that he has both eyes, we saw his head from both angles, and we saw pretty far on his face from the back when he took off the mask. There really was no indication in any of that, that there was any physical problem with his face. |

But seriously he is like Michael Myers, what behind the mask is irrelevant, the mask is his real face. I am more interested in what his wife looked like. |

This actually makes quite a bit of sense considering the little information we have; including the body modifications and why Kohina saved Rentaro. I really like the theory overall. But I'm also leaning towards him being like Kakashi from Naruto, just meant to have a mask. |

I just find it hard that someone like him could have a wife, let alone one that would allow him to turn their kid into a killing machine. But I guess maybe he was normal and his wife was infected causing him to go bonkers, and that is why his daughter is cursed. |
