They are all waiting for Lumati (wait, that Laginei person, is that Sezun? Yes he is!)

Laginei knows that Lumati is in the US but no one gets for him (Sezun's brother, Kwinza's pressing?)

Lumati came out (with his hair tied up now) and told Li Ren to open up interview talk about "cudeta" one year ago. Li Ren said that would cause inside confusion. Lumati said he will wait for his brother's change in plan, or he's going to fight against him. While talking that, he took Eugene's drink and drank all of it. Then he left. Kajika follows him. All of them are showing worried face (including Li Ren). Lumati is going to move!

Kajika asked Lumati is that really ok? Lumati said he probably thought about it for a long time. He want to be in Laginei/ near Laginei. He want to say good bye since he have to leave her anyway. (Wait, Kajika's face, is she blushing?) Lumati asked her to wear that ring for him, who he said it's a "synble" of king. Kajika knows it's useless to talk to him out of his decision now. Kajika told him she want to see him with king costume some day. He told her when he became king please be his wife. (Li Ren heard it from here) She said she like him even though she's impossible (or something) to be his wife (she says it while laughing), then he asked if it's ok to kiss her like lovers (Good for you, Lumati fans). Kajika was shocked, but was forced by Lumati to be kissed! Then Lumati's one eye looked at his right for Li Ren. He knew that he's there. Li Ren, then, turned his face away sadly, which was unexpected to Lumati. He thought he would get in his way.


Eugene went out and saw shocked Kajika. While Lumati was thinking that Li Ren's turn away face looked like his brother when he was young. Overlapping face, he thinks:


Kajika, then, asked Eugene if he likes her. Eugene says he loves her. Kajika, then, blushing, asked him if he would be sad if she has kissed by another guy. Eugene told her he is while smiling. (Kajika said there's no one who she could discuss with) Eugene knows that it was Lumati who kissed her. Kajika told him what happened. Kajika said her likeness is like she like Li Ren and Eugene. Eugene asked why she discussed with him, and... lol, he's a friend who gets lots of experience with! (The background is so funny!) Kajika doesn't want to choose and want to keep it the way it is now. Eugene asked the feeling about "lovers' kiss", Kajika said it's different from the kiss with Harry and others. Eugene said want to try? Then he gets near Kajika, but she said stop! She said doesn't "lovers kiss" do with one person, or have to compare with others, too? Eugene said don't have to pressure herself to be in the situation that she have to choose. Kajika asked if he really love her, he said more than anyone. Kajika asked if he want to marry her like Lumati, he said if she wants to. Kajika said it's find to be friend with him and love another guy, he said if she's happy that way, then yes. Eugene told her his experience with different love and told her she doesn't have to understand every kinds of love even she doesn't understand them. She just have to find her like of love. He also said, there's no failure to loving someone. When there's failure, then the regret is only yours. Kajika left him relaxed.

Isabella was hiding behind them, and Eugene knows it. She has delivered him a letter, an invitation to Somando. Isabella is pissed at Eugene loving Kajika. She said he's looking at imagination of Kajika. She told him to sleep with her and he will wake up from the imagination that she's just a kid. Eugene said he will not! He said he can bear pain because he loves her. He just want forever.

Li Ren is calling so that he can proceed with what Lumati asked him to do, while Lumati is outside his room wanting to say something to him... with guilt and want to apologize with him. Li Ren knows that Lumati's there. He told Lumati that he's took care of Singapore and about interview. Lumati's pissed at Li Ren not mentioning anything about earlier, but Li Ren said he doesn't know anything. Li Ren said Lumati's decision is a huge bet for Fang because the interview might affect the world and Laginei. Li Ren said he doesn't want to take care of kiss and interview thing together. Lumati spilled water at Li Ren. (Li Ren's shocked face!!! so cute!!) Lumati just didn't want to lose Li Ren while having Kajika. Then he's out.

Kajika found Lumati outside, with guilt again. Lumati told her he had fear about Li Ren being angry at him, so he spilled him. He also said he need a huge courage to have argument with Li Ren. Then Li Ren came for behind.
Both of them were shocked and Kajika spilled water at Lumati for Li Ren!! Li Ren, however, says if fighting back, then there would be war and third person involving = gets things confusing. lol. Kajika then left both alone. Lumati said sorry and Li Ren is not angry. Then they headed for Singapore for the interview.

Li Ren's uncle, of course, is angry, and the family is having a meeting. Li Ren, then, left behind and watches Lumati's interview while thinking about what Lumati said earlier.

Brand new ED clip!! (What?? Yuuko from xxxHOLiC was Isabella?)

Next ep. w. Carl! There might be a KajikaxCarl moment coming up!!

From what I understood, I think Rumaty is angry at Li Ren for not fighting and being passive about Kajika. I think Rumaty might understand that Li Ren loves her not in a brotherly way.

Eugene's doing really a good job at protecting Kajika. Even though he's older, he's never tried to seduce her or anything. He's just always there for her. I've come to respect Eugene a lot.

I wonder, does Kajika already realize that Li Ren is the one she loves?..

That's from the end of ending, so it might or might not happen.

I felt so sad for Eugene...and I kinda sympathize with him. Loving someone just to love them...I know how that feels. That's why, I'd rather stay that way than break our link with each other. Even if the person only likes me as a friend. TTwTT -wipes tears- lawl

His love suffering sequence had a very nostalgic shoujo feel, it reminded me of Versailles no bara XD.

Finally Rumaty's woken from his stupor and he's decided to take back his country to the prior situation; good luck to him, and nice kiss :D /also noted some dodgy mistranslations in the subs °°/

Finally, the water-splash festival continues: after Quinza comes Li-Ren and then Rumaty, I wonder who's next.

I don't think there's ever Toranosuke's turn because he's being faithful being Kajika's servant.

I thought the art this episode was pretty different and for the most part better than before.
But Li-Ren’s face in reaction to the water seemed really wrong/out of character.
It hurts to look at it:

I love the new drawings... really hott...even if everyone's eyes and noses are smaller than before. Everyone is a lot shiner though :D

So it's not just me, everyone immediately noticed the work of the new director. To be honest, quite some changes.. especially some of the expressions from Li-ren and Rumaty were quite.. disturbing in my opinion. They're a bit too comical. And same with those two little scenes while Kajika and Eugene were talking.. all the hearts and that scene with all the girls and GUYS drooling over him? It just takes some of the seriousness out, which I don't really like. And I see what they're trying to do with those sentences, trying to convey they're inner thoughts or feelings, but I'm not really digging that as well. Too much 'drama-like'..

And yes, about the kiss, very exciting and all, but has everyone forgotten about the possibility that they're bloodrelatives?

Li-ren, you, just be a man! And Eugene, [I FORGOT WANT I WANTED TO SAY..] Such a pure heart, nowadays you'd never meet a guy like that. (the way he loves her reminds me of Yuki from Fruits Basket)

I was like; wow, HAWT. And then I thought, nah, it's looks so wrong. But it is a nice premonition though.
&No way, she is too dense for stuff like that..

I forgot to say; I love the new animation from the OP. It's really fresh, and shows something more than just the characters.

I loved this episode! It was sweet and romantic, I hope there'll be more episodes like this from now on.

The new OP and ED animation are a lot better imho.

li-ren's face was just not right...though the new art is pretty good I have to agree that the 'comical' scenes are more of a - than of a +..I like the new ED but it's just that Eugene looks kind of evil in it...still,I loved this ep

I agree with desolato. The direction is really taking a hit. I guess I didn't realize how much I appreciated it (even though it was really melodramatic in the beginning) until this change. Now there is a lack of seriousness and an inability to transition between tone and atmosphere, leaving me to believe that someone doesn't know what they're doing. Rumaty sits in a room for a little bit and comes out as a different character, only to go back and forth between the child he was in the beginning, the adolescent he's been for the past couple of episodes, to the adult/politician he has become this week.

And I won't speak about the atrocities they did to Li-Ren.

Incestuous kiss aside, Lumati was so badass at the beginning of this ep. And at the end. But Kajika is completely insensitive. "If I wanted, could we stay friends like this forever?" EUGENE IS FREAKING IN LOVE WITH YOU, THAT IS PAINFUL UGH. But Eugene is cool.

Li-Ren <3 I like him more each episode. You can tell the direction has changed though, what with the random black-bg-white-text inserts.

I never liked the ED before so I hardly watch it, and now I won't watch it even more because they subtly put in the preview for next week (I don't watch previews). Sneaky bastards. I adore the OP song but I preferred how it was before.


No, she's made that clear (thinking she loves Li-Ren like a brother, likening her "love" for him in this ep with how she feels for Lumati/Eugene -- didn't mention Carl, good news Carl fans?). She's an idiot. She probably won't realise until the last eps, if she ever realises at all. Can you tell I'm a Li-Ren/Kajika shipper? I'm in it for Li-Ren though haha.

>_>;; What to say...ah. The drawings did look off, but it was a fun episode. Looks like episode 25 went back to the usual style of drawing. The Li Ren splashed with water was totally exaggerated more than they needed to. I guess they tried to make it more funny and less pretty like it is in the manga.

39 episodes...different scriptwriters and art directors for each eppy. Unstable? Is the fact that the company isn't even trying to advertise or make much money out of this series indicative of how low the value is placed on it? Heck, on CR you don't have to pay to watch the latest episode.

Li Ren always seems to get some of the worst animation (next to Kajika). Facial distortion, body distortion, and bad wardrobe coloration...In terms of best to worst treatment: Eugene, Carl/Rumaty, then Li Ren. Is he just hard to draw? Or since he's not technically a candidate maybe they're focusing on the other guys more.

As for Kajika, I like her. I wish she'd stayed in Japan with Yui and just gone to school. As for the guys...at the moment Carl and Li Ren are the best choices. Even if Carl's got issues and Li Ren's in denial. Eugene has masochistic fantasies about eternal unattainable love. Rumaty has a major brother complex and wants a 3-some with Li Ren/Kajika (well, >_<;; he did confess that he wanted both of them).

I loved the episode but I have to agree with many of the posters about the animation. Although I applauded L/Rumaty for dumping water on Li-Ren, Li-Ren's expression was completely off.

Brilliant for the prince to put two and two together and get four with regards to Li-Ren's feelings for Kajika.

L/Rumaty is looking more and more kingly.

Eugene was fabulous. He's come a long way since we first saw him.

Awesome episode, filled with great developments and fantastic scenes like the kiss scene, the Lumaty vs Li-Ren scene, the Kajika and Eugene scene or the final declaration by Lumaty. On another hand, the direction really changed after the director swap (no wayyyyyyy :D), it's now much more dynamic and comedy parts have a better feeling to them, but it's overall less interesting than when Chiaki Kon managed the series.

so its not scary to fight a whole country or assassins, but Li-Ren.....ok scary
one moment of happiness or the whole life of torment, and he chooses torment, but for that he has now my respect, i just thought he was cool

Rumati!!!!!! He is my favorite character. I love his outfit at the end! He really is fit to be a king (and looks the part too).

Ahh..Li Ren's misaligned eyes..I was in disbelief when I saw it. I thought it was me but then I rewinded to see it again. It wasn't me >.>.

Chibi Rumati was so cute when Li Ren came up from behind and when he got doused with the juice.

I want moar Rumati. It's really hard to find any art scans or goods. I would love a shitajiki to collect X3
