| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Surprisingly, no one started a topic discussion yet for this anime. This was a great first episode. I'm not going to lie, it made me cry. The only thing that I didn't quite like (not that it takes away from the anime) is that it kind of jumps right into the story, and almost completely skipped the beginning. We don't get see how Lag met Niche. Regardless though, this was a very decent episode. |

| Judging by your post, you watched the OVA, not the first episode. Theres a separate entry for that. Anyway, onto the actual first episode... I liked it much better then the OVA. The story is only starting, yet the setting been set strongly. Still reminds me of a softer version of D. Gray man. The background animation was done well. Op music was very nice, though the animation felt alittle off-sync. Ed was quite good aswell. The episode seemed short... Only 21 mins? |
| Much better than the OVA, we get the beginning of the story and the inspiration for Lag's actions in the time to come. I'm glad they kept the VAs though, I think they fit very well. I liked the OP, didn't like the ED so much, but it was okay, I guess. The animation was nice, I absolutely love the color pallet. Reading it in black and white just doesn't get it across sometimes. And I must say, I sure did fangirl over Gauche the whole episode <3 |

| A lot of drama, silliness and the word "kokoro" a thousand times. Meh, didn't like it at all. If you manage to create a decent story, don't push it adding weird stuff -like armored insects, guns that shot part of your "heart" (soul/memories) and a post-apocalyptic future filled with cowboys and mannered postmen. It was slow, boring and full of tearful moments which only made me yawn. |

| Aw, I actually really liked this a lot! I must say, this is most likely my favorite out of what I've seen in the season so far. (which isn't much, tbh, but that's beside the point.) I agree, that it was better than the OVA. Will definitely be continuing on this one~ |
| Extremely generic show with very limited interest to me despite the great animation, colors and backgrounds. The story is totally boring / seen one million times before, and the direction is so average that I won't watch the second ep. Dropped. |

At first I was really annoyed or actually when I heard Jun Fukuyama's voice but when the episode went forward, I didn't pay attention to it that much anymore when the story became much interesting and it was also pretty touching. I really liked this episode ! And the opening was addictive ! && Nana ♥ |

| Wow, I really loved this! I remember watching the OVA a while ago, and thinking that it was pretty good, but this is a million times better. I really like the character design, Lag was adorable, I'll admit, I fangirled over his cuteness ;) I will definately keep watching |

| just watched the first episode and all i can say is "WOW". it was just an amazing first episode, the art work like the character design and especially the backgrounds were just amazing. i have a feeling that i will really enjoy this anime allot. for some reason it is giving me the same feeling as D.Gray-Man did xD ill rate this episode a 5/5, for me for all the anime i started watching this season so far this one is the best by far. :D can't wait for the next episode. |

| Really liked the OP and Gauche (Fukuyama jun <3). The episode as a whole wasn't that good and i find Lag annoying. Hoping it gets better :) |

| I've been excited to see this animated for some time now. Definitely enjoyed it, but it was pretty weird seeing everything in color. The mangaka tends to use black and white to his advantage. |

| the manga is great and the sotry is cool, but now that we have fuyama yun on this anime (at least while he is the main character) this is oin to be a master piece so glad i read the one-shot of the shonenJ long ago |

| Hmm, this reminded me of Shigofumi with the whole delivering letters thing. Lag bothers me for some reason and the whole episode was pretty boring. Dropped, unless I hear something fantastic about it later. |

| Lots of technical background explained already while lots of character background/memories are up for questioning. A great start, but I'm surprised the show is starting where Lag is yet a Letter Bee. It seems it would take them a while to get to where the OVA timeline started and they only have 13 episodes. I am very interested in how/when Lag meets Niche though, so hopefully the next episode finishes off on them at least having reach the Amberground. The music and animation are great but not exactly when together. The OP looks good but I didn't think the song fit too well with the animation there. I like the ED song, not so much its animation. |

| I really like this first ep. I like the character designs. What really got me though was that they can actually make a show about the life and duty of a postal worker and still make it interesting ^^ but then again their not normal are they? Freakin Genius Loving the dog/dingo thingy also ^_^ |

| Whoaa now that was sweet! Get the background of two main lead early in the series, i hope i can see Aria x Gauche relationship early too.. I hope it not have sad ending, from the ending theme song it flagged that way.. Definitely my MUST watch anime..hooked up |

| Compared to that excellent OVA this was pretty boring. Mainly because the contents of this first episode (and probably the next one) are already known due to the OVA. It was certainly not bad at all, but I am not sure if I have the patience to wait until the good part is starting. |

I just watched the OVA then the first episode and thought they complemented each other nicely. All stories don't have to start in chronological order. I'm really loving the artwork and the color schemes, the music does a really good job of setting a mood. Studio Pierrot seems to have another good series on their hands. However what's with the CGI Bugs? The fight scenes really pull me out of this story, I just can't figure out why they chose to use 3D renditions when their 2D artwork/animation is really high quality. I'm gonna keep following this one though, I got a feeling this story has a little humanity in it. |

| I liked it. At least they seem to have all the exposition out of the way with the first episode, so the next ones can delve into the story. If this series is anything like the OVA or better, I'm gonna be loving it. |

| I do like the art but the episode was rather boring. Despite that I'll surely watch the episode next week. It just might get more interesting as it progresses. Too bad its only 13 episodes long. |
| Hmm.. so, the OVA that came out last year got me pretty hyped up for this one. I thought it was really good. Let's see what this show holds. It does seem to hold some potential anyway. So then, first episode, not much that was really interesting, except for when Gauche shot that ... Gaischuu : p And then when Lag unintentionally releases a huge burst of .. uuh.. stuff from the gun xD Anyway, I have high hopes for this one : ) Quite ok OP and the ED was pretty good too : p |
