Finally this show gives me feeling close to the way I felt while watching FMA. It's not the same, but it's close.
So does the former FMA Wrath has something to do with the present Al's body? He resembles Wrath in some way (think)

The Wrath from the first anime has absolutely nothing to do with this series at all. In fact nothing from the first anime has anything to do with this series. It's best to forget anything about the first series when watching this anime and regard it as a completely different series.

Ok, Edward's solution made total sense (fortunately) and was quite of a genius realization. Loved it! Also, Wrath's backstory FTW! It was nice to know how they made a aging Homunculus. And if last episode I thought Envy's true form was creepy... let's say it's nothing compared from the impression I got on this one. I feel bad for all those souls... And that last scene with the gate... It was heartbreaking. It even made me tear up a bit.

My reaction after watching this episode: I LOVE FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD. SRSLY. The tears I shed from this episode was DIFFERENT from the tears I shed from the other anime. :'(

Ed loves Al. That pretty sums up the ending. I remembered my brother while watching this. T___T

I swear I do the pointing finger thing every time I close a door.

Honestly, I think the last part was one of the greatest moments in anime for me. The way it transitioned into the ED with the instrumental gradually fading in and then finally the " Let it all out " and everything and everything and everything and everything AND EVERYTHING-- *takes a deep breath*

I go back and rewatch that moment from time to time.. and every time I get goosebumps!

I love how they are able to use the ED in all these different ways to add to a scene, this and previously when Ed was comforting Winry at the end of another episode. Powerful scene. Also, the director of this series really knows how to keep the suspense going. Great series.

I KNOW right?? "Let it all out" is like the perfect song that fits the current mood of the series. Its just perfect. I got goosebumps when i watched that last scene. I have seen that scene over and over and it is by far one of my favorite moments in every damn anime series ive seen. If i made a favorite anime moment blog. this one would be up their in the top 10.

and can you imagine watching that with out reading the manga. Its like 10 times better.

OMG. I KNOW RIGHT??? I have a sister and I understand perfectly how Ed feels about Al. I would feel guilty and would do everything and anything for her too.

Everything about their fraternity makes me tear up a bit lol

wow they reveal soo much in this episode!!!!!

i knew the rubble in the ground was part of the statue from XerXes ruins.

so this father used the XerXes town as a sacrifice to create a philosohper's stone.

and are now using the same method to create more in Central City.

poor King Bradley.

he basically tried to survive hell to be honest.

extensive training, education as well as determination.

he even survived for being take over by the Philosopher's stone which is from XerXes ruin.

so that's how he gotten the name Wrath.

so basically Ed is trying to Human Transmutation from scratch instead of something.

so that's how he was able to open the gate.

guess the XerXes people are grateful that finally their souls will be released after all this time.

yeah the pose where Ed is using alchemy kinda look like your praying to a God.

so finally Ed's sees Al's body after all these years!!!

and wow he does look malnourished. guess that's his timer??

if he's body in the gate dies, he dies huh??

so only Al himself can get his body huh??

guess they lost something but didn't gain anything other than taking a peak for the truth,

so does this mean Ed now's Human Transmutation(at least being able to transfer himself to another world)

ed will definitely return Al someday!!!!

can't wait for the next episode!!

Envy's demon form kinda reminds me the titans from Shingeki no Kyojin.
May's legendary warrior skills..woow.
The eye whih is at the center of the gate of truth looks like Rinnegan...
Ed to Al's body at the gate of truth:Alphonse!!! I'll come back and get you back!!! Wait for me!!

That took me completely bu surprise at the end. Never expected to see Alphonse like that.
I'm getting the sneaking suspicion that Father is actually Hohenheim's father and the Elric's grandparent.

I started watching FMA and got about 20 episodes in wondering what all the fuss was about, I nearly dropped this anime because it was so boring...and mediocre, but now that I have gotten to the end of this episode I can say that I will definitely finish the show to see more shit like that, the reason I watch anime is for moments like the ending, and this show was not delivering it, but I finally got a piece of something good.

That final scene has become one of my favorite things in the world. It was just so… powerful.

Al’s emaciated body, Ed running desperately hoping to bring it back only to be dragged towards the Gate of Truth. So close, yet so far. Hope and despair, side by side.

But then, LET IT OUT faded in—he punched his way through the door, telling Alphonse he’d be back. “Just you wait!”
And I was close to being brought to tears.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget that moment.
I think, then procrastinate.
Therefore, I am.

Not bad this episode, the final then it was so touching, I felt a mixture of sadness and a feeling of grandeur, hard to describe in words. Narratively the series is growing more and more, overjoyed! Plot increasingly compelling, drawings and animations good, excellent soundtrack.

Great episode.

Interesting so see Bradleys past and how he became a homunculus. Atm Mustang is absolute helpless.

At first when Ed came through the door I thought it was his body at the other door. But then this extremely thin body compared with this long hair, wow that was unexpected.

I loved the last scene when Ed opnend the door again with his expression in his eyes, soooo fucking good. <3

Next episode something of the past of Hohenheim? Looks interesting.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE that I didn't watch this series until now. I watched the 2003 version of Fullmetal Alchemist and at the time I thought it was simply the first season with Brotherhood as a sequel. So when I did watch Brotherhood right after finishing it and realized I was still watching basically the same thing except with better(-ish) animation, I dropped it without getting to the part where things were different from the 2003 version. I really regret it now... and I'm sooooo glad I picked this up again out of boredom (and for craving a shounen anime to watch). I'm so hooked and I love the ending scene. Al is so skinny.. I got so sad just looking at him!! T_T
