Ah, yes, Shana won the Aquamarine Necklace, but she might falter when she faces tougher opponents - who knows? Yuki, Tomoyo, and Haruhi are still undefeated, staying close to Shana, waiting for her to get that one loss. However, it still looks as though Kyoto Animation characters are dominating the top 16.

And also, if you missed/wants to see the results for previous matches, you can view them here.

Yup, the matches have started, and this time, with pictures to discourage abstains and encourage familiarity with new series.

And yes, you can actually go and take home Imouto-chan now, so you can use her to link directly to the voting page.

Unless you are a member of 2ch, Saimoe Japan begins August, around the time ISML will be in it's final weeks of the regular season.

So this is going to overlap with Saimoe.

But this is certainly a different style of tournament since my dear Rozen Maiden's aren't doing so hot whereas in the japanese tournament they are almost unbeatable.

Oh well, I'll still be there to vote for them. We need to get Shinku her first victory, lol.

That would actually be because of the current demography of this event - Throughout the Aquamarine Period, I'm getting about only 3 or 4 votes from Japan, and that along with Korea is where the Rozen Maidens get the most support. The reason why Suiseiseki is doing midway compared to Shinku is that I'm getting a decent amount of votes from South Korea. Shinku gets a lot of love from Japan, and they don't know about this. That's why I needed that Japanese translator...

J Saimoe and K Saimoe are the current pre-qualifiers for this event as well.

Japanese Saimoe uses a totally different voting system, which isn't the best. They always end up with a LOT of illegal votes... e/g the 2006 Nagato vs Suiseiseki quarterfinal incident. . .

and If I remember Japanese Saimoe starts nominations/preliminaries in June.
Ayanami zis year... for shure. :P

Even though Results for Topaz 2, 3, and 4 were planned to not be posted until the end of Topaz 4, due to some conveniences, the results to Topaz 2 have been posted, albeit later than the original schedule prior to the change.

It is unsure when Topaz 3's results will be posted, but the matches will still occur at scheduled times. Speaking of which, voting for Topaz 3 will start in about 4 hours. If there are no further changes, then the results for both Topaz 3 and 4 will be posted at the end of Topaz 4.

Finally browsed the forums and surprised to see a isl thread here ^_^ Guess I shouldn't be too surprised though. Anyways, I feel bad for some of the lesser known characters like Yurie of Kamichu! and Tama-chan of Bamboo Blade. They're so wonderful, but because they're not as well-known, they get beat by much lesser-moe (imo) opponents.

I checked the standings for the first time in a while after giving up all hope for the dolls and I see that Suigintou has turned it around and is making a pretty strong run at the top 16 with a 19-9 record which should become 20-9 since she should have little touble beating Kiri.

Gin is my least favorite doll, but she does seem like the best hope for the doll supporters at this poing, lol.

Suiseiseki isn't doing terrible with a 16-12 record but she would really have to go on a roll and string together a couple big wins.

I'm randomly doing a Google search on ISML tonight, and I'm happy to see various communities talking about it.

Although a few may have dropped active discussion. ^^;

At least in some others, minhtam is going a good job campaigning the tournament. :) I'm trying to leave comments here and there.

Ugh, it pains me so to see Yurie doing so badly. While it is somewhat predictable that popular series characters always overshadow less-popluar series characters, winless after thirty-four rounds is rather shocking.

Yurie qualifies as a contestant of this tournament for a reason. Kamichu! may not be a hot topic, but that doesn't mean Yurie isn't moe. Yet 80% of voters (while some subconsciously) vote according to series popularity, leaving true moe champions who were unfortunately born dejected to cold, undeserved losses.

I am on a quest. A great quest to end the evil that is prejudice against Yurie. I shall travel The Seven Seas, convincing the people with pictures and AMVs that will hopefully lift the blindfold from their eyes. I, as Prophet EoA, shall bring a new order to this world!

Sapphire 9 has begun and realistically, out of the eight eligibles, only Shana, Kyou, and Haruhi has a chance of winning the necklace. As said in the site, Mai is already in an unfavored position against a stronger competitor. Konata is also up against a formidable opponent who is only down by 500 VD.

Remember folks, Yurie still needs your aid to escape the zero win destiny! It just requires you to click one button, and I will be forever thankful for your wise decision. I understand as well that at times, her opponent may appeal more to you, but do not falter! When in doubt, refer to these pictures:
