Tokyo Babylon (thirded!) First, I cried for Subaru.. a few years later, I cried for Seishiro. Perhaps Hokuto's turn is next? Even the little blurb in the artbook is depressing. Something about how these photos are of people who no longer exist in this world and they'd like to remember them as they were.. I don't quite remember what it was, but it was SAD.

I think the one shot Hotarubi no Mori E is the saddest.
The first story is pretty sad but the second one had me crying and the third story too.

I read it 3 times and I've cried all three times. x3 It's really touching!
If you want to cry I would suggest reading that one shot.

Full moon wo sagashite all the way.

I sobbed.

Socrates in Love - Let me tell ya, I'm not easy to cry. There have been only 1 anime and 2 manga that have made cry and this is one of them. This was such a heart breaker. You know what happens in the end cause they tell you in the first chapter but still managed to make me cry. A surprising thing though is that I cried on the 1st re-read as well. Usually impact is lost when re-reading it.

Saddest manga I've read to date has to be Wish. I mean, it was so cute and everything and then that last book really had me all choked up...it was just so sad, even after reading the ending and seeing how everything turned out :(

You meen the most Traumatizing, manga that left me emotionally scared for life?
Thats easy, with out a doubt, the saddest Manga I've ever read has to be "Nana".
However, the first time I read it, I didn't realize how sad it was because I was so confused.
It had been so long since I first started reading Nana, I had forgotten a lot of things that happen early on which explain stuff that happens latter. So after a while I started having a hard time following the story. .
Originally I blamed the Mangaka, assuming she forgot what had already happened, and what had not happened yet in the story. It seemed almost like, there were completely different people that had taken over for the mangaka and continued writing chapters with out reading the story first.
Turns out I was the one forgetting things. When I started reading it the 2nd time, everything made perfect sense. I had misunderstood so much of what happened the 1st time, it was like a totally different story the 2nd time.

i wouldn't say its the saddest manga since it's a gag manga, but the saddest arc i've ever seen in a manga is chapters 42-44 of Sket-Dance. it had me crying for 2 days and got me really thinking about life- like a wake up call from my depression v.v
my heart never hurt so bad before :'(

Chrono Crusade, deeeefinitely. I felt so sad yet very pleased and happy after finishing it. :(

I've also gotten bummed at some Loveless chapters. Some of them are just... really heart wrenching, imo.

Ai-Ren, by far.

(No, I don't think even Saikano compares to it. As sad as it is, Ai-Ren takes the title.)

Camelot Garden...it's a one shot...and a bit creepy...

Hoshi no Koe...but it's cute too...

Shinshi Doumei + ... would have been even better if she'd have cut the last chapter completely and let it have a tragic ending...
