Deep Love - Ayu no monogatari. I actually cried my eyes out... which never ever happens when i read things. (its more common with anime/movies) oh i also cried reading kagen no tsuki..... not as much though but deep love is defenitely the saddest manga out there. |

I agree, the Deep Love saga is just dramalicious... Tears guaranteed. I also cried a lot in Please Save My Earth, although most of it was thanks to the incredibly beautiful ending. Still, the manga has plenty of sad parts. Full Moon wo Sagashite is probably the one closer to Deep Love in my list, it has quite a lot of teary moments. Then, there's SaiKano (classic!) and the extremely dramatic first chapter of Global Garden (the rest wasn't THAT sad). |

Socrates in Love - Let me tell ya, I'm not easy to cry. There have been only 1 anime and 2 manga that have made cry and this is one of them. This was such a heart breaker. You know what happens in the end cause they tell you in the first chapter but still managed to make me cry. A surprising thing though is that I cried on the 1st re-read as well. Usually impact is lost when re-reading it. |

I don't know about the saddest manga, but I know a few that made me cry. The first is Video Girl Ai, and always for the same reason, that is The second is One Piece, Arlong saga, the famous Nami scene (where she's crying and begging Luffy to help her, I just love the raw emotion she's showing). I know I have another title, but I can't remember it at the moment. |

Immortal Rain made me cry; book 4 was just so sad! :( Fushigi Yugi also made me cry, and I think book 4 of that made me feel the saddest too. I'm not sure about other manga that have made me feel sad... A.I. Love You 8 made me cry, but it's not really sad overall. |

Chrono Crusade would be the saddest for me. Man oh man. The ending always makes me sob. T.T So, so sad, but in a wonderful kind of way that fit with the entire series. |

I havnt read many sad mangas, but one sad manga i have read is a 1 volume manga called Hoshi no Koe. Well worth a read if you like sad mangas. Oh and one more manga i forgot to mention, is Bitter Virgin, drawn by the mangaka of Girls Saurus. Its a pretty tragic manga, which picks off right from the first chapter, so you get the feeling of sadness really early on, and it doesnt get any happier from there. Its 3 volumes atm and still ongoing. Modified by Clairvoyance08, 01-26-08, 5:34 PM |

1. Chrono Cruasde, the neding was really sad, but still, there couldn't have been any other ending (eccept the anime ending) or a happy ending, 'cause that would just ruined the whole series. (At least that's what I think) I'm currently reading full moon, but missing volume 4 and 6, but damn, it's so sad, even when I've just read the 3 first volumes.. EDIT: Confidential Confessions is just really depressing.. in a good way... |

The original ending to Cyborg 009 was pretty darn sad and one of the better ones in manga. But then Ishinomori retroactively changed the ending. :( |
