I hope that what you are saying is true. I personally am tired of all the anime's I watch not ending correctly and leaving things unanswered (i hope i spelled that right). But even if it does come out in fall we might still be waiting here in the US for them to translate them into english. My friends and I have had that happen to us and we ended up waiting for about a year to see the first episode just subbed. I have not read the manga but I think I will now from all of your comments, (I try not to until the show or movie comes out or ends so I don't end up being disappointed.) and I was wondering if anyone might have heard something on the animes fruits basket and skip beat!, because I think they did leave a lot of questions behind.
P.S. I know I'm writing a lot here and I'm sorry, but could anyone just tell me if you meet the other ghosts at all in the manga? (just yes or no please I don't want it to be completely spoiled for me.)

Well I did hear that they were re-running the first season on TV over there in Japan a couple months ago. Maybe they will announce a second season after the first season finishes its re-run? It could be possible.

i don't think there will be a second season despite how open they left it :P but if there were a second i would definitely watch it! And i hope they do it like in the manga XD I want to see Teito get to know Capella and the Curse Tickets and him getting to know Ouka >u< They finished the anime when it was to get even more better!!! >.<

I hate it when anime is left open ended UNLESS there's going to be another season! Especially when left open ended like this one.
I mean, it's not like the open ending makes you think, "Well, everyone's going to be happy now because so-and-so confessed their love and was accepted by so-and-so." But this sort of open ending that's too akin to the original Inuyasha open ending where it's all, "we're gonna keep fighting the good fight!" drives me nuts!
I really really enjoyed 07-Ghost and would love to see a second season. I haven't read the manga, though I'm thinking about doing so, but the anime itself left too many unanswered questions, especially for people who don't follow the manga itself.
Personally, I just want more Frau and Ayanami. I only started watching the series for Shou Hayami, Daisuke Namikawa, and Junichi Suwabe, but then I started to like it as a whole (I tend to pick what to watch based on the seiyuu involved most of the time).
So yeah, I'm kind of sad that there's no second season... but then again since the manga is still on-going, that makes me wonder if eventually they'll make one.
Granted the Yami no Matsuei manga is still ongoing (yay for being out of hiatus finally) and it only had a first season (with an annoyingly open ending that drove me nuts)... so I guess you never know...

Regret on the first place for watching this series. I didn't know that it'll be hanging like that and I was really hoping that there'll be a 2nd season though. It'll be very disappointing to end it just like that.

Plus, I really miss watching frau, castor and even labrador because they are so fun to watch. *sigh*
Now knowing that it will not probably make it to the 2nd season, I am soooo sad...

I really wish it will be a season 2 ( / _ \ ) so long already still cant heard any news about it ~ its a good anime

I noticed that theres only 3 ghosts however the anime was called 07 ghosts. Which I think is weird. I don't get how Frau is one of the 07 ghosts since they talked about that he was a kid, or is he somewhat of a vessel for the God Sichel? If he was Sichel I bet he would have to be like super old... thousand years old... They NEED to make a S2! The ending was something like "This is only the begining."

I recommend reading the manga at this point. The plot is getting good as things are slowly unraveling. The anime only covered maybe the first few volumes... which is pretty far from where they are now.

It probably won't be a second season because the first was released 3 years ago.

Some time before, I thought there will be a second season for some reasons: I didn't read manga and I thought that producers haven't enough material to pass it to the anime, and I read somewhere that the mangakas made a promise with their fans and said that 07-Ghost will have a second season. In addition, it pass four years since manga started and they have the anime adaptation. So, time wasn't a problem, after all. But then, I began to read manga and now that I read all the chapters it has until now.... I know they have a lot of things to do a second season... Even a third one! So it made my hopes crash into a wall. I don't really think that there will be a second season, unfortunately -.-

I would definitely like to see another season, as the ending left me feeling like there should be one, however, the time frame is looking like it probably won't happen :( I haven't read any of the manga, so I'm thinking about just starting that. I do have one question though for all of you who are reading the manga. Would I be best to start from the first volume or does the anime cover the first few? If so, where should I pick it up from?

I think you must to read the manga since chapter 25 where the anime finished. The rest of the manga is equal, only changing some things (For example, Teito's desire with the old man) and taking into account that Tajio's episode was a fillers and also the last battle with Ayanami "in the center of the Earth" was a filler too. Apart of that, everything is the same. Come on, read it, I'm reading it and it's very very exciting!

I am on episode 15 right now, and when it ends I hope something is announced about a second season!! We should all bitch!! Lol and MAKE it happen!!

Personally I think they should come out with a season 2 because they left so many doors open, I would love to see where this anime goes, but I don't really care if nothing is portrayed from the manga. I would love to see a season 2!

I doubt there will be a second season - but who knows, look at Aquarion as an example...6 years between seasons! So you never know

But the more important reason would be because the manga isn't finished yet. It's STILL going. I gave up and certain point because the wait between chapters was killing me ><

I'll wait til the manga is finished before even consider the second season.
