| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was a good episode, don't you think? Waaaaaaaaay better than the last one. This was the end of the race I was looking for. =) =) Loved the whole podium scene... and that fact that Yamato's "spinning charge attack" didn't actually spin... and how Shinozaki was having an inner monologue that totally ignored the brawl! My memory's hazy, but: best episode so far, by far! =) |

| Ah, the penultimate episode of the series and it was done really well too. I appreciate the humour in the episode – it was reminiscent from the humour from before the race started – it was sorely missed and happily welcomed. The episode was rather an emotional rollercoaster from the high of the fighting on the podium to the heart wrenching scene where Shinozaki crying over his bicycle in the First Aid tent – the little kids asking for Shinozaki's autograph and his reaction afterwards was a rather nice way to end the episode. All in all, a better than average episode – can't wait for the final episode of the series! |

| A really good episode, the stage battle scene between Hyoudou, Yousuke, and Yamato was pretty funny and the end where Shinozaki was asked for an autograph by those two kids was somewhat touching. I can't wait to see how it ends but I also reeeally want a second season >.< |

| I felt so sorry for Shinozaki, I always get tears in my eyes when those cute little kids asks for his autograph <33 The piano version of Winder (on the background) is simply amazing too ~ |

| Best awards ceremony ever haha. Yamato started it though XD this was a touching episode (as well as heartbreaking about Shinozaki's HD :( ). I'm glad he had kids who wanted his signature, that really made him happy. At least someone paid attention to his hard work. |
| It was great to get some heavy comedy relief with the podium fight. Mikoto's time being invalidated was really lame, so he doesn't even get his mountain king award and is thrown to the sidelines completely. I like how the kids wanted his autograph at the end, it was nice that at least someone was inspired by him. It also sends a good reminder that just like Mikoto said at the start of the episode, bicycling taught him the meaning of life. That lesson is worth far more than any awards, record times, titles, or recognition. Also feel like I bashed Yuki too quickly last episode. She really does care about Mikoto albeit has a hard time showing it. |
