Some of those mentioned above don't really seem like must-watch anime that everyone has seen. http://myanimelist.net/topanime.php?type=bypopularity While the Top Anime list is good, this one shows the number of people that have watched each anime. So this is probably more what you're looking for, but cross-reference it with the Top Anime. I'll agree with Elfen Lied and Steins;Gate. |

I'll agree with Elfen Lied and Steins;Gate. you must not have seen Shinsekai Yori or Ztsuen no tempest then grant it they are lower on the popularity list but everyone I have recommended them too have ended up adding them to their favorites. Elfen Lied is overrated crap imo. |
