| One of the reasons I liked the series so much is that neither of the two main characters, Jin and Mugen, really outshone the other. Jin played the straight man to Mugen, which would usually mean Mugen would be the far more entertaining, relatable character, with Jin simply being the set-up. However, there's a surprisingly large amount of comedy written around Jin also, and his character is written in a way that he's similar to Mugen on a very basic level, creating many moments where they're on the same side of the coin. His backstory and motivation are also treated more seriously than Mugen's, also. As such, it's close, but I have to go to with Mugen. I just love that unlike most "badass" anime characters, he doesn't stand around talking shit to his opponent, but instead tells them, after they've made a long speech; "I don't know what the fuck you're talking about. You talk too goddamn much. Let's fight!" |

| Out of the main characters I would have to choose Jin. I like him because he is really calm and collected before unleashing some of the most amazing moves. Plus I like the classic samurai style he has. Out of the supporting cast it would have to be Manzo The Saw, just because he has some of the greatest lines in the anime. |

| Mugennnn. I love how he's so spontaneous and doesn't care about anything. I like that he has this angry outer shell but you can tell that deep down he does care about Jin and Fuu. :) |

| I love all three of them. If I just had to choose one of the three though... Mugen. He's so badass I can't help it. Though Jin is all kinda of hot and I can relate to Fuu, I just love how Mugen has that "I don't give a f--" attitude haha. Favorite minor character is ninja girl from the red light district. I kinda wished she went along on the journey cause I ship her with Mugen. |

| Jin, FOR SURE!!! Now quite awhile back when I first watched this i thought Mugen was cool and relateable, and I still think so. but overall and especially once rewatching and having seen other shows, I really like Jin's style. everything from his background, to his calm and quiet demeanor, his apparel, and I really loved his supremacy in the art of Kenjustsu. His fighting-style was amazing and based on extremely practiced and perfected technique. He was an honorable person as well. I liked his reputation and I think he could most likely beat mugen in a fight, though thats a whole 'nother can of worms. the other character who I found really interesting was the |

| Mugen is my favorite character of the show cuz he has a chip on his shoulder when fighting some one stronger or more skilled than he is. though I have to say Jin totally stole the show on the last two episodes of the series. Don't get me wrong Mugen's fights were tough and eye dropping but they were against no names, while Jin went life and death with the best swordsman/assassin in Japan. Either way they are definitely two of the top swordsmen anime characters. |
| Mine would have to be Mugen. He takes nobody's crap and only craves the adrenaline of his passion(the blade obviously). Plus his dancing fighting appeals to me since I love dancing. |
