| I really don't get it. With Naruto and One Piece etc it makes sense but there was no need for it in Gantz at all. By the time the anime started they were already as far as the Dinosaur mission in the manga. Why was the anime so slow paced and had so much padding and even the last mission was pure filler when they had plenty of room? The anime could have easily have covered far more material than it did. The Onion, Bird and Statue missions could have been done in the first 13 episodes and then the last 13 episodes could have covered the Shorty mission and the whole situation with Shion. The anime could have been so much better. It needs a remake. |

| As far as I can tell, they only adapted vol 1 to half of vol 8. Onion alien, the bird thing aliens and then the temple aliens. But I remember there being more than that in the anime, like those eassholes who beat a few homeless people. So far they haven't appeared in the manga. Can't remember if Kei had sex with Kei in the manga before she died. Think there was only fondling of her boobs :P So if I'm remembering correctly, the Kei x Kei sexing was just fanservice. Which is filler, since it wasn't in the original. |
