Thanks, added that to my list.

Kara no kyoukai has good looking average animation, but it's nothing that pops out of the screen with its vibrancy and intricacy. Same with Fate/Zero.

Katanagatari had beautiful backgrounds, and while initially unusual, somewhat stylized character design captured me too.

Of a complete different style, I'm watching Casshern Sins right now, and while not conventionally scenepornish, the landscapes really capture the apocalyptic ”world is ruined" vibe perfectly. The weird semi-organic nanotech run amok shapes among gloomy desert and craters kind of landscapes.

Also Yosuga no Sora, even tho its borderline hentai
