Question about the Main Characters...

I know this doesn't have much to do with the actual anime but just hear me out.
After watching Magi for awhile I started to notice something. I noticed that the characters match both appearances and personalities to Sonic and friends.

I know Sonic had no influence whatsoever on the Magi characters but I just wanted to know if anyone else noticed these similarities too.

Aladdin: Blue haired and optimistic boy who always helps out others. (Sonic)

Alibaba: A yellow haired boy who is the most clever one of the group but is always doubting himself and looks up to those who can help others. Also the best friend of Aladdin. (Tails)

Morgiana: A red/pink haired girl who is incredibly strong and starts off as an enemy to some extent. (Girl version of Knuckles)

Judar: A black haired boy who thinks he is better than everyone else and is basically an evil version of Aladdin.(By both being Magis) (Shadow)
