Most likely end it. The best we could hope for is that Madhouse ends it - and if Togashi ever resumes and finishes another arc - create a sequel series going over that arc. But given this adaption's zealous faithfulness to the source material, it's almost certain that they'll just end it. |

| If they have a good idea for a filler arc(maybe approved by Togashi), I wouldn't mind it. But it will most likely end and then come back when there's enough material for a 26 episode series, that's how Madhouse is kind of doing it with Ippo. |

I know technically Election arc has its own self contained stories and new characters, hence an arc of its own. But it's really more of a epilogue for Chimera Ants Arc, as a huge part of it is about tying up loose ends and the aftermath of Chimera Ants arc. So Madhouse definitely has to adapt it because without it, there'd be no final closure. |
