Favorite set of Pokemon Generations.
| I'm asking based on the pokemon available in the respective generations and not necessarily based on the games or anime. Answer the poll above. It would be nice if you could state a reason as well. Let me know if its in the wrong section. |
| Johto pokemon were really cute, and I really liked how the Gen 2 legendaries were few and far in between, but they also carried some sort of tale with them, so they really felt meaningful. |

| 1: Hoenn (Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza are my favorite legendaries + the landscape is awesome. I also like the fact that the enemy faction differs from all 3 games) 2: Unova (The storyline is actually really, really good. I do agree that the 3D effects are complete trash though) 3: Kalos (That's what you get when you have completed the Pokédex in it, 350+ hours and I have to say that the game is still quite amazing) 4: Kanto (Childhood ~) 5: Sinnoh (No comment) 6: Johto (One of the most boring ones IMO) |

| Kalos is clearly the best because it has all of them. |
| For me, Sinnoh is the best. Why? Very simple, Luxray, Infernape and Lucario. Three of my top 10 favorites. And also, it was my first, so there's that too. After Sinnoh would be Kanto. The likes of Arcanine, Charizard and Jolteon are more than enough to put them high up in my list. Unova was great too, especially Lilligant. I don't know why, but Lilligant easily became one of my favorites. I have yet to play much of Hoenn and don't have a 3DS, so no Kalos and am only halfway through Johto, so I'll reserve my thoughts on that until later. TL;DR version: 1. Sinnoh 2. Kanto 3. Gamefreak should do a Pokemon MMO, with the players able to move to other regions. Of course, they'll be adding regions to the game as new gens (and therefore, new regions) are released. |

| Gen 1/2, but mostly Gold/Silver. They were just tons of fun to play. Lots of school bus memories. I don't know why we have to keep having new threads for this. |

| Kalos has some stupid pokemon and i think steel and dragon types have been nerfed a little too hard. although greninja and yveltal aren't too bad. kalos only has 3 legendaries, with one of them being completely stupid. i've only played Black 2 (Unova), Y (Kalos), Emerald (Hoenn) and Fire Red (Kanto) so out of those Hoenn Kanto Kalos Unova somehow... playing the unova region just felt like a massive chore compared to the others. |

| The originals not only in style, but also in competitive battle too, as my competitive team consists of mostly Gen 1 and it murders just about everything. Gen 3 gets a special mention too though and a runner up prize. |

| Every generation has a set of awesome looking Pokémon, and a set of horrible ones. For every Arcanine, there's 3 Voltorb's, for every Pangoro, there's 3 Klefkii's. etc. As for the games, the original first 2 generations have aged so horribly that they're only playable because of nostalgia and getting a laugh from horrible sprites/bad AI. Replacing the remakes for the originals, the generation of games, for me at least, go like this: 6>4>5=3=1>2 Haven't seen the anime of Gen 3 till 5, but I'm really liking the X/Y season so far. |
