| Yeah, well, uhm, I haven't come this far yet with said show as I've come to the conclusion that I'd rather wait for the show being completely rolled out so that I can enjoy this dose in one shot..you know..I do not like having to adapt myself to someone else's schedule, so..until then I'll be enjoying some other morbid animated substance. I've seen the first few episodes, and it did look promising. |

I think the episode was ridiculous! =D Oh, and seriously...Anime-only-watchers can't really read posts in Umineko threads. There are VN-readers all over the place explaining this and that to watchers - augh. If the anime can't do that itself, let's just face the fact that it's incompetent if those things absolutely need to be explained. Although I personally think that the pacing is much better than in the VN (Yup, only read EP1, but it felt like it took ages, consisting mostly of boring palaver.) |

| I was tricked by the first arc into thinking this would be, if not awesome, at least not cringe-worthy. I can't believe I waited this long to drop this piece of crap. I just kept hoping it would turn around but... no. It just gets worse and worse. /drop |

| This episode was really sick and gory + bloody. Also Beatrice is still laughing but I hope Battler wins soon this game. Good thing that maybe Bernkastel is in Battler's side so he has ally with him. I already thought that Battler lost this game and turned slave for Beatrice and how gory was that scene Kinzo got beated by Sheep minions and so on. Also that Tea- party scene that Bernkastel and Beatrice had in other world was hilarious. Yay! Battler is finally ready to fight again Beatrice and this time he maybe win this game. well let's see if Battler has some tricks for Beatrice. How did Battler get his fighting powers back I am amazed here. O_O More I wanna watch more now! |

They did that in the last couple of episodes as well, where he randomly shows up and him the which debate and we watch Battler figure things out. I gotta say I'm not a fan of the approach they're going for in regards to the mystery here. It seems very hand holdy, (plus the repeated locked door scenario is a bit annoying) So far I'm a little disappointed, especially coming from just finishing the Higurashi series. What made Higurashi so good was that it didn't help you figure things out and expected you to put the pieces together yourself. I loved that I was the detective picking up clues and figuring out the worlds logic and mysteries with trial and error. However, so far Umineko just has battler do it for you. Makes it feel less like When They Cry and more like Death Note. Hopefully they leave room for the viewer to rack their brain for answers instead of leaving it all to Battler Thank youuuuuu!! |
