Just as the title says, don't be shy to tell your worries and pains. I'm sure every prayer is powerful and needed.

Ok, I'll go first: I'm greatly distressed, I'm pressured to be good in my grades but now I'm failing math. There is an option to drop the subject, but I'm worried sick about my parent's and friend's expectations. They have the assurance that I'll pass it, but I don't know if they would understand that time and effort is not everything.

I feel pressured by my self, I can't help but blame my actions. I know everything has a reason but it's not easy to fail when you fail others.I pray that I'll never think that I'm failing God.

Good thread Dancel, we needed one of these.

Regarding your situation--don't blame yourself. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. I wouldn't concern myself with what other people think. Remember when Christ walked the earth he told them (the Pharisees for instance) exactly how he felt.

My personal advice, I see it two ways: I wouldn't drop the math class because trying and failing, is better than giving up. However, if this class is indeed causing you great stress. Then I wouldn't put myself through the agony either, and would explain the situation to those you are concerned with.

I don't know your situation entirely, but if I were in your shoes, then that is what I would be considering.

I will be praying for you that God leads you to the right decision. Peace be with you sister, God bless!

Oh thank you for your reply, but now I'll consult my teacher if I have a chance of passing. You see, a failing mark is not as big as it is to me than the society. If I have a fail mark on my card, it would affect my job application. It's hard to find good jobs here and unlike in the US, wages are low: You should be at least an engineer to be able to buy the cheapest car.

Aside from money, the issue of being "kicked out" from my course is the problem. If I fail my math 17 class, it would pull my average down to the point that my college will put me to probation- my college has its standards. Underloading means goodbye to Laudes forever, but it's better than to lose my scholarship.

But it'll hurt my pride because my friends who are below my rank in high school is faring better than me. (Well you see, I have good grades in high school not because of test scores but passing every requirement in quality.) It'll be demoralizing, I can't deny.

To persist is a noble but risky act. To drop is a demoralizing but practical approach.

Sorry for the late reply.

Ah I see now, so it appears that each side has it's disadvantages. I can relate about keeping your grades up on your transcripts.

Well the only thing I can think of is to pray about it, and (like you said) consult your instructors on what they feel would be the best thing to do.

But as always, put your decision in God's hands, and I know the right choice will come to you! :)

Praise the Lord for all the gifts that he has given us. May He continue grant us the blessings willfully given to us, even though as sinners we do not deserve it. With Christmas coming soon, let us reflect on the very good work that Christ himself has done for us. It is through Him we pray for all things. Amen.

Yes, quite well said Kyuu. We should give thanks for all the Lord has done for us, both great and small. Not just this day, but everyday. We should always be thankful to him for giving us another wonderful day in our lives. :)

DD: The contractor we'd hired to work on our new house had turned out sloppy already. Then when we hired him to work on our old house he simply messed up everything, and he still didn't even care! His attitude had turned sour in September, it seems.. And apparently he's not even licensed as a contractor. D: We didn't really do a background check on him because he was recommended by a "good" friend of my mom's. .___. Then now he's even gone to calling my dad "cheap"/etc behind his back, to that same "good friend of my mom's"...
Prayer please? ;___;

A friend of mine is in a lot of trouble at the moment. His computer just broke and he lost almost all of his work files. He is also in debt to a relative for borrowing money for a new one. Now his close friend Alexandra has the flu on top of her leukemia. He is in need of prayer.

A friend of my family just had the last of her chemotherapy, and she made it through strong and with God there to guide her the entire way.

Thanksgiving prayer? I think He deserves it. ^_^

God bless you YomisEyes. I actually had a friend who went through the exact same thing, and came out of it just fine. We serve a mighty God!

I praise God that your friend is healed!

Thank you so much. She's a really awesome lady. I'll have to ask my stepmom to make sure, but I don't think she has to do any reconstruction or anything. (She has breast cancer). I wish I knew more about it. The extent of my knowledge on breast cancer was from me reading Reconstructing Natalie.

As a person, I have been a fool. I pray to God to help right my path once more. Oh how frail can our human hearts can be - when the message is simple: only through Jesus can there be the way to Heaven.

Yes, Jesus is the only Way to Heaven and to God!
May God correct your path so that you can continue living the life He has planned for you. :D/
