| I started Black Heaven after watching that Code Monkey AMV from anime expo 2007. It's so refreshing an adult main character. No school anime. No vampires, zombies or shinigamis. I became infatuated with this anime, I hope it won't let me down. |

| Did a good job of establishing the lead's middle-aged man angst. He looks like a drowsy mess all the time. I especially like the touch of his wife and son being asleep both when he leaves for work and when he returns. Poor guy isn't even getting to really live with the family that superseded his rockstar dreams. I expect the slightly highlighted girl in the concert flashback was the wife, i.e. she was a fan of his, so I'm interested how she feels about his past in the present day. She was trying to throw away his guitar. |
| A happy family life is worth sacrificing your dreams for, yet this is far away from the reality we were shown here. It literally killed his soul, but an angel appeared and showed him heaven. Pretty neat start overall. |
