It must be split cour because that 1.1k sales prediction for v1 is dismal at best. |

It's feel like the same way that Valvrave walked... To be honest,i like more Valvrave than Buddy Complex, but,if the Sunrise estudio wanna do the same thing that did with Kakumeiki,i will really hate that estudio... "Only two seasons? No,thank you... Valvrave is enough" I think... if they want do it,do it with more than two seasons... |

Gives me more of an incentive to watch it. That is, if it actually got better after the first three episodes. Did it? |

The ending of Valvrave was forced... The plot was amazing and had all to be the best mecha in these last years... but,the studio finish it so much soon... :/ |

Yess a continuation!!! People talk rubish about this anime but they didn't take some time to watch it before they start to label it BAD. Really this anime is a lot better than all the crap we had in the winter season 2014. |

its an ok series i dont feel too strongly for one way or another, but its good news to see its getting more as the story simply cant work in a short 1 cour season especially at the pace its going, im hoping the 2nd half packs more of a punch than the first as i do like some of the directions its been taking recently ma25 said: id respectfully disagree, this was one of the worst shows i watched out of the 12 winter anime i watched only being really beaten by the travesty that is nobunaga the fool. The show relies too much on the conventional and has some gaps in logic, the dialogue especially near the beginning is downright bad and consisted almost entirely of exposition which in and of itself made the characters feel more like plot points than actual characters, its portrayal of the main character's side being care free and easy going kidders and the villains being evil nazi like monsters who dont have human empathy make the show feel extremely surreal in the bad way like they didnt know how to portray a realistic antagonistic force which only became worse when i watched a older sunrise show(the origianl gundam) which went out of its way to portray both sides as humans with goals ambitions and morality. These flaws arent as major as they sound as i did say up above it just lands dead on the average mark but its far from even making it remotely high up on the winter list.Really this anime is a lot better than all the crap we had in the winter season 2014. Theres a ton of room for improvement and im hoping season 2 does that. but if were speaking strictly this season, a majority of the "hate" directed at it has been pretty spot on. |

I wonder if they will keep with the Time Travel annomilies? It appears like they closed the loop that kept Hina from going back and having to grow up again. Also, this was the first time travel show I saw where someone regressed in age. I guess it was because that was the age Hina was supposed to be when she was dropped off. |

Buddy Complex is at that point where it is just good enough to be watchable (particularly this season), but little better than that since it follows the Gundam Seed template pretty closely and if you've seen that show you've kind of seen most of what the show has to offer in it's first season. IMO though it's another one of those Sunrise shows where the antagonists kind of come off as more interesting than the protagonists in their storylines. Once the impending mecha wave really starts hitting from Spring and beyond I wonder how things are going to fair for Buddy Complex though. This season it's only up against Nobunaga the Fool, but by Fall or next Winter or whenever it airs who knows, it might get forgotten in the mix considering it's hardly all that popular in the first place even with the mecha crowd. Personally I'd rather another cour or two of Gundam Build Fighters, but it doesn't look like there are currently any plans for more of that going by the lack of anything mentioned about it when Origin and G-Reco were announced. JizzyHitler said: its an ok series i dont feel too strongly for one way or another, but its good news to see its getting more as the story simply cant work in a short 1 cour season especially at the pace its going, im hoping the 2nd half packs more of a punch than the first as i do like some of the directions its been taking recently ma25 said: id respectfully disagree, this was one of the worst shows i watched out of the 12 winter anime i watched only being really beaten by the travesty that is nobunaga the fool. Theres a ton of room for improvement and im hoping season 2 does that. but if were speaking strictly this season, a majority of the "hate" directed at it has been pretty spot on. What show are you watching? The protagonists coming off as surprising carefree thing I get, but where are the super evil Nazi antagonists? So far we have Alfried Gallant who seems like the noble minded soldier type just doing his job for comrade and country, Margaret who is the special attache agent forced to learn lessons in humility and where her actual place is on the battlefield, Hina who is a main character and the key to a lot of mysteries, Hina's father who was a veteran soldier and all around good guy by the looks of it who adopted her and was a sympathetic character, Bizon's team minus Bizon (who is unhealthy obsessed with Hina) who all seem like good guys who care about each others survival and well-being enough to look into the situation with Hina being accused of consorting with the enemy and try to help her. Really the only character on their side that gives the overtly evil vibe is actually a Federation defector in that scientist. I must be watching a completely different show or you're just so disappointed about it not being a mature U.C Gundam like show (these don't really exist as far as TV mecha anime go anymore and were kind of a product of their time and place) that you're projecting things onto it that it doesn't actually do and making it seem worse and more cliche than it actually is. I'm not saying it doesn't suffer from some following some mecha cliches and tropes a little too closely, but it helps to give an accurate assessment of what it actually does and doesn't do in that regard. |

It's not like I'm saying it's a very good anime. But the worst anime of the season? That's not true at all. This are the reasons those people have: - It's because Valvrave had a shitty ending (noo valvrave has nothing to do with Buddy Complex) - They are saying connective and are proposing. Is it Yaoi? noo this is not Yaoi. Really I heard the most ridiculous reasons why people hate this show. If you sincerely ask them have you seen the show. The only answer you get. Yes 1 episode only or don't want to. Go watch it first before you start judging it. |

I disagree completely. BC is one of the better shows this season and saying the show only a little bit better than Nobunaga the Fool is stretching it too far. The show is straight forward with both subtle and obvious plot points being addressed nicely. The characters are slowly built up. Especially, the main trio as well as one main antagonist have been given ample time and expositions. Considering this S2 announcement, I think in hindsight we will see all other characters being developed with good pace. That alone is better than many anime this season. There are other points in your post that I can address as well but this is a news thread so I'll leave those out. I agree that it's playing safe with the old Gundam model and some scenes are a little too standard. However, the last episode has raised my expectation a lot. It is a truly great episode with every sense of the word. The animation, the music, and the dialogue are all the best this series has done so far, a textbook definition of climax. Moreover, the presentation is very Studio 8-ish and you can actually feel it. |

As a huge mecha fan, I really enjoyed this series. There may have been some cliche mecha anime moments (cue deserted island episode), but I can honestly say this has been one of the best since Gundam 00 (my favourite mecha of all time). Perfect amount of action, "mellowness" (for lack of a better term), even some hints of romance and such. Can't wait for season 2 and see Bizon get his ass whooped again. |

I enjoy this one, it's much better than a lot of people give it credit for. It's not great but it's good enough that I'm a bit surprised it's not garnering more fanfare, negative or positive. Hoping the 2nd season will continue the solid development it had in S1, it did a nice job really carving out the story and characters, albeit with some issues. I'm hoping it doesn't abandon it in typical Sunrise fashion in favor of mediocre shock value and Micheal Bay-esque finishes. |

YESSSS I hope that they would air this on June or July, I can't wait another year for it. Also, looks like romance is one of the genres for this season! Looks like we'll see some Hina x Aoba scenes, along with Hina x Aoba x Dio scenes as well! :D Poor mayuka-chan though, looks like she'll be a third wheel. |
