DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well it seems Sawaki is losing his power to see bacteria, but what I'm more interested in is..what is going on with kei?..dressing up in a goth loli dress and kissing Sawaki?...haha well I guess things should become more clear in the final episode. |

| Quick thoughts: - Sawaki is losing his powers ... - I thought that loli goth girl was Kei when he started talking but then then he kissed Sawaki so i thought otherwise until it was confirmed in the scene with Oikawa... Does he like Sawaki romantically? why goth? did her borrow the clothes from Hasegawa during her high school days or something? :P - That toliet scene was so not necessary .. i would have been content if they had the conversation behind closed doors -____- |

| Confused, and I'm starting to agree with Star Crossed Blog's review of Moyashimon and how this serious change in the story was not needed. The humor is still there though, so this was still a good episode. Hopefully the ending at least answers the questions about Sawaki's power and the Goth Girl. |

| Seriously the most random WTF twist I've seen in a long while. I mean I guess there was some foreshadowing, I'm thinking of Kei doing his hair early in the series which made me chuckle, plus he's working around sake which he loves. But still, completely random and I'm struggling to understand how he just gave up education to work as a loli goth in a shop. All the old geezers in this show are dangerous. Dangerous I tells ya! |

| Still great episode. The comedy is there esp. how Sawaki's hair moved when he got kissed by - Oh my GOD!! It is Kei!! WIN TRAP IS WIN!! :D And this ep's theater is probably the best one so far. It's funny that they don't want to look like what they really look like. lol Anyway, so much questions in this ep. Off to the last ep. |

| I'm going to assume there will be some pissed off viewers in the next episode discussion thread as I'm pretty sure this series won't wrap up as I believe I've heard the newer series picks up exactly where this goes off. Unfortunately I was spoiled about the Kei twist so it wasn't a surprise. I think some of his actions throughout the series, like how particular he is with his hair, foreshadowed this. |

| Aside from Hasegawa casually mentioning Kei as Sawaki's effeminate friend at the earlier episodes, his lovely gothic lolita crossdressing came out of nowhere. If I was in Sawaki's shoes when he got kissed by his "definitely a dude but he looks hot as a lady" friend, I'd be conflicted as well. I wonder if it had anything to do with him suddenly losing his ability. |

| In ep 8 we got Mutou x Oikawa, now we get Sawaki x Kei? Really two events that I absolutely did not expect to get in an anime about microbes. Why is Kei suddenly dressed like that? And I was a little surprised too that Sawaki didn't overreact when he was kissed by Kei. Also, why is Sawaki suddenly unable to see microbes anymore? |
