Loved that... this is a series where limbs flies and get cut like it is nothing. It's lost a bit of its surprise effect, though.

THe more i read the more im loving Riful, shes cute, strong, wise and did i say cute?

But to all those you are comaing about the monthly, look at ti this way Claymore has been consistantly delivering great chapters weak after weak which makes the wait worth it, and yes 30 pages is short but at least they arent as short as another monthly series *cough* Drifters *cough*

Frinkin Awesome Chapter

Awesome! I'm having a hunch that Riful can survive because of Alicia, I don't know maybe they'll team up or something like that, or maybe Miria and the others will come? Since maybe they have known this already. Well I just hope that Riful won't die and be a part of Clare's team. I don't care about Dauf, though.

Brilliant chapter, surprised one of the twins went down so early when this was really their first real fight.

Its very cool that Riful refused to leave Dauf behind. I have a feeling Dauf will die there but Riful might survive for a bit longer.

I wonder if just destroying the Luciela and Rafaela merged form will kill off all of the parasites? or is that too simple an answer

Poor Beth and Alicia.

That was insane! What a great chapter, but this new problem seems to be far beyond what anyone left alive can handle. I don't see how anyone can be left alive in a few days with all the carnage these creatures can bring. Ultimate Carnage. That's what's coming. Ultimate Carnage!

And try waiting a month only to read 18 pages. *stares at Gantz* and for whatever reason, it's taking three months off for its final arc. D:

Creating the most impossible situation from a near impossible situation O_O Good stuff I wonder what will happen to Beth now?

Beth will spawn some uber-monster for the rest to fight and Alicia will go berserk as Beth will no longer be able to control her (unless Beth reverses her awakening before death). Now, with crazy Alicia we can expect a fight with feeders and Riful has a chance of escaping (yay!), but if Alicia isn't interested in them or is de-awakened... Easley fell too easily and IMHO Riful is the best (even if her awakened form is a bitch to draw). Be strong Loli of the West!

I really really hope Riful will survive :(



HELL YEAH

As much as I like Claymore, I think they've introduced way too many overpowered creatures too soon, all in the last six chapters. The resulting power spiral is simply insane.

Think about it; for a long time, Isley was the second most powerful creature in the entire Claymore universe. And then, all of a sudden, they introduce the Devils, a class of creatures so powerful that they utterly destroy him.

On top of this, there is a Raphaela Luciela fusion that is at least stronger than anyone except Priscilla, and now the prospect of both an uncontrollable Awakened Alicia monster as well as some horrific Beth hybrid.

Thing is, all of this makes the Claymores, Claire included, seem pathetically weak and insubstantial. (Forget about the original Yoma, who haven't even been a factor for the last 60 chapters)

Claire has become so powerful that with a single sword strike, she utterly decimated the former number 2, Raphaela. At the same time, she is only on par with an awakened Dauf, who is vastly weaker than Riful, who is in turn much weaker than the army of Devils, Alicia + Beth, Priscilla, AND Raphaela-Luciela.

It just makes all the Claymores, including Claire, Miata, Miria, etc. seem weak and insubstantial by comparison. What can they possibly hope to do against all the titanic monsters that the author introduces in volume 17? What do they even matter, anymore?

I'm very interested to see how the author will try to resolve this, and if he can do so successfully.

I thought the same YoungVagabond all the new character are so powerful and the girls...is sure that someone is going to die...

Well to be fair YoungVagabond, Claire has seemed very weak for a majority of the series but she still defeats her enemies, somehow, someway.
