Holy shit, Goto ;_; I feel for him, quite a bit now after everything he's went through especially with what Haji is doing there. Damn. I liked the most psychological aspect of this episode actually in a way until the second half. Otherwise, that was WEIRD. BL

Anyways, I wasn't a fan of the Flamenger arc. I really enjoy the slice of life aspects of this show though.

Oh god, this is some weird comedy or something, I laughed so hard that I had to pause it for a while. What a strange experience. I kinda want to say I love the whole series about how it made no sense after all, but still a fun watch.

Ugh. This series was so good in the beginning but soon after the whole guillotine gorilla and this series become appalling. Really f' ing sad.

Also the ending was seriously nonsense. Hazama Masayoshi becomes gay all of a sudden and goes full naked. Goto doesn't even end up with the other flamenco girl.
The whole series was a huge trainwreck.

10/10 series in the beginning.
At the end?
2/10.

With all the buildup between Goto and Masayoshi I'm not even kidding but I expected it. It would've been whack as hell if Goto ended up with Mari or something there's little to no development between the two. Masayoshi practically confessed to Goto wowwoowowoww.

Honestly I loved Samumenco and this ending was perfect.

As much as I'd love a yaoi ending I'm not sure whether Masayoshi really loves Goto or he's just dumb. xD

I really gotta give this credit for the super original end. It was a breath of fresh air. Unique indeed. Just for that deserves my appreciation, LOL.

I think they could've been good for each other, no interest in the beginning doesn't mean nothing can come out of it. I've seen plenty of shows where persistence wins out. Gotou helped Mari out after King Torture and Gotou had his own "issues" which I think Mari could help by being a REAL female in his life and it's obvious she cares for him to a degree from ep19 or she wouldn't have acted the way she did. It's not like Gotou interacted with any other female.

Subs from Crunchy will be up in about 10 hours or so they say on their website
I guess the only fansubs who take this show are the ones who rip or base their script in Crunchyroll's translation
From what I got about the episode:
Masayoshi's confession was one hell of an embarassing, weird and cute marriage proposal. I'm glad we could see how strongly he felt about Goto, and that the latter has started to move on.

This show keeps on doing the most unexpected things at the most unexpected times. A naked Mazayoshi proposing to Gotou? Wow. I expected bromance but not on this level.

I think the people who wrote this never had a clear idea of what they wanted to accomplish. Up to Guillotine Gorilla it was one thing, afterwards it turned into a parody of Sendai stuff and towards the end I don't know what they were trying to do. A shame really, it started promisingly IMO.

It certainly has been a ride and while it wasn't perfect I'm still glad I sit through this. The production schedule has been wonky since the beginning resulting in some less than aesthetically pleasing visuals and the middle part dragged on a bit too long but the show definitely knew what it was doing and where it wanted to go with its themes and ideas.

It was delightfully bizarre at times even in its finale episode but was still grounded with its presentation of its main characters except when it was embracing and simultanously mocking the tokusatsu genre. Overall it has been an interesting experience with a mix of different aspects and genres pulled off with varying degrees of success.

Expected that ending.
As was already said above, all the signs were there, especially when the previous episode was a lecture on love, and no one else fit the criteria in Masayoshi's life but Goto.

Interesting anime to say the least. Quit funny at times and references galore.

Yeah if I was Haiji I'd probably point a gun at him too lmao. I'm kind of pissed they did that to Goto though. I thought he'd finally get over his ex but no he's still texting himself >__<

I'm not quite sure how I'm going to rate this. Seriously I'm stumped. I like it but at the same time I don't like it. I'm not even sure what it is lol.

Originally, I would have scored this an 7, but I'm gonna leave it as an 8 just to balance out the average rating (since a lot of people are gonna give it a subjective below 4 score). It seriously was a great ride for me. Definitely not the best I've seen. The main issue was pacing problems and the fact that Samumenco tried to do everything a show could do (action, comedy, psychological, superhero, and even more). I really enjoyed the characters, different mood switches and comedy. It was great.

Anyway, onto episode discussion. That was...surprisingly. The proposal omfg. I screamed out of: 1. Shock 2. Expectancy. Last episode gave off those homo vibes LOL. It's interesting to see it. But, I think, based off the last scene, his gf is back?

I would not mind watching another season of this tbh, although most would disagree.

But he didnt say no!
-----
First portion of the final episode was a bit dull as we already went down that whole Goto san route with the missing girlfriend and much of it did feel a bit on the fake or maybe overdone side of things working with that to make him go all out for Heiji in anger .

But after that it was just simply fantastic and almost an entire fanfic come true even. The nekkid proposal was amazing first with Heiji as like their adopted son of sorts to keep over watching him as he goes on with life, and then with Masayoshi confessing and proclaiming love to Goto, and Goto not even denying or anything and going with it. Truly theyll have many happy days together, it just needed them holding hands (and not arms) at the final scene to be effect.

So overall a wonderful series that did struggle part of the way and had wonky production values at times that kept it from ever reaching masterpiece tier. Concluding two arcs were its best moments since its beginning. I think the other flamengers could have had a bit more development and focus though. DateTime was an incredible ending song as well. 9/10.

Did Masayoshi when crazy too? The ending was filled with kids verbal fight...Masayoshi and Goto virgins....If you get me....
Hope for a season 2...And i don't know why...
And i'm 100% sure that Goto did not accept the propose...Masayoshi only did it cause he wanted to give Goto love like the GF did. And THAT ending....'Don't touch me freak!' i'm pretty sure its linked to the part where Masayoshi got naked. And Masayoshi reaction to the message....CUTE!

Pretty much this.

Goto's flashback and scenes with Haiji were rather interesting. But then the boxers were off and it felt like it was episode 7 all over again.

I just can't help but to feel like there were lots of wasted potential, considering how many people actually wanted to see a slice of life superhero show with decon/recon elements.

Man, as much as I wanted a gay ending, it just doesn't work when there's absolutely no build-up behind it and it takes the form of one main character creepily proposing while naked, after just sexually assaulting a schoolboy. That scene was hilarious, but not in the right way. Not in the right way at all.

Up until this episode I had no idea how to rate this series. Now I'm convinced that, no matter how much I enjoy laughing at how stupid it is, and even if the stupidity was intentional, I'm going to have to give it a bad rating.

Honestly I preferred the first like 7 episodes and the last 3 episodes, everything else in-between was just really dumb lol. I think the main thing that kept me watching the show were the Gotou and Masayoshi interactions, so this episode was perfect to me.
That naked proposal was bromancetastic but really why was Masayoshi naked? And is Gotou still texting his missing girlfriend in the end?
Overall, I still don't really know what this show was but I got through 22 episodes of it and enjoyed most of it.

Masayoshi got naked to show the kid that he is not Flamenco right now, but himself. He then professed his love to Goto and proposed because it was the only thing he could think of to show his understanding of love. He doesn't really know what love is like and that's how he shows it because he's kinda an idiot.
Goto still texting his girlfriend, because anime tells you that not everything has a logical conclusion like in superhero fiction, sometimes shit just happens and people don't really change. It means that Hero can't win every day turn everyone's lives around. But at least he can offer them his friendship.

This show is brilliant, you just have to accept it and listen to what it has to tell you. It's not everyday we get a show that is so smart and mature as Samurai Flamenco.

Quite a satisfying finale. I laughed my ass off. Leave it to the writers for a naked baka shouting match to break the serious mood of the last few episodes. xD

Unpredictability is hard to come across these days. So it's always nice to watch a show that just does whatever the hell it wants.

I miss the show already. T_T
