| No way they will adapt PB in 2 cour, even though volume 6 is pretty long. Adapting it in 12-14 episodes will do fine. First part adapted volume 1, 2 and over a half of volume 8 into 14 episodes. Second part adapted volume 3 and 4 (cutting out 1 chapter) into 11 episodes. If they plan to to make a 2 cour, they should do sth like that: - Phantom Bullet - 15-17 episodes - Mother's Rosario - 5 - 6 episodes - Caliber (?) - 3 - 4 episodes |

| I just hope A-1 won't fuck the adaptation up by having large timeskips and cutting stuff out like they did with the 1st season. Hopefully it will be 2 cour so it won't be rushed. |

| If they make SAO a 2 cour season, it'll need to adapt another novel or so. As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, Vol 5-6 are the largest volumes thus far but keep in mind that the first cour of SAO was what could be classified as the same size as vol 5-6 (Vol 1-2 and half of vol 8). I personally think that the most optimal way of executing SAO II would be to have the first 15 episodes of Vol 5-6 then the excalibur arc of Vol 8 and then Vol 7 to create a feels train for a much tears ending. |

Watch them skip Volume 7 completely because lolnoKirito Trainwreck confirmed.[jk] Honestly I'd wait for confirmation. Yes The Phantom Bullet is Vol5 and 6 and yes its barely enough for around one cour, but that does not mean its 100% confirmed to stop there - last series also were treated as two separate arcs. |
