I think you're probably right... especially the bit about Yasu. Re-watching that part again, it looks way too much like Yasu... and sounds more like I'd expect him to sound grown.What a wonderful episode, and what a great misdirection they revealed. During the first episode, when they showed the statue of Kate in the rubble, it was easy to assume that she helped cause the destruction of the world (or at least Japan, same thing :-), now we know that the world had already destroyed itself. This suggests that Kate is going to actually save the world (the shiny town beyond). I think we are going to find out that the reason that West Udogawa was able to preserve its neutrality was not because of the government, or the White Light, but because of Kate; and that is what this conflict is really all about, the Tokyo government needing to seize Udogawa because its the last bit of Japan that is left intact. As for Yasu, I still think he was the character at the start of episode 1 in front of the statue, this I believe is another misdirection, making us think it was Dva. So what we will learn is that Yasu really didn't betray Kate, he was suckered by the pretty girl last episode (this would play off of all those endings where he pretended to be the cool host, he is the exact opposite), and somehow will help in the end. Been loving this show from the start, and it just keeps on getting better. Anyway, this was a pretty intense episode... only two more to go. I hope this isn't all wrapped up in one season. I'd love to see a second cour. |
| This was... I was just... this series manages to surprise me all the time. One can see those overlapping themes of this anime almost clearly now. Defiance towards conformity. Reluctance to abandon childhood dreams. Coming of age. Well done. |

| Zvezda becomes homeless and Pepel and Roboko captured!! Damn! Holy Shit!!!! Does that mean Kate has adult form??? I'm looking forward to it <3 I think Yasu is the key to saving Zvezda. He is waiting for the chance. Maybe Asuta and Renge will elope??? 3.25/5 |

| Oh shit! Things are getting serious. Renge defected! Roboko and Gorod are gone. We don't know what happened to them. I think Natasha was shot right there at the end. Where the hell is Yasu!? He better come back and do something! I wonder what Kate meant when she said "I didn't choose to be a kid." |
| I liked the episode a lot, the drama, the atmosphere, Renge's twist. The highlight for me was Plamya-sama chest. |
