To kick off our first Genre of the Month I thought we'd have a forum discussion on Fantasy. All fantasy books are welcome so talk away about your favorites, your least faves and ones you didn't love or hate but overall enjoyed. |

my favourite is the twilight saga coz its amazing, well i'm pretty sure its fantasy seeing as there's vampires and werewolfs in it "Just like a person holding a sword trying to protect something. That maybe one's life, or place in society, or reputation, things that one loves, things that one believes; it matters not if it's good or bad, the will to 'protect it' does not change."- yoruichi |

Actually Vampires and Werewolves do not classify as Fantasy they are actually more paranormal/supernatural. |

You all definitely should. The books are great, not your typical plot. And the twists are insane. You can't see where the story's going at all. <3 |

It must be one of those books I really need to get time to sit down and actually attempt to finish it in one sitting. ramona_cat said: My favorite books in order are: 1) Old Magic 2) The Switcers trilogy (wich apparently in my country is only one book and not 3) 3) Harry Potter 4)The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray (although this one is mostly horror and not so much fantasy) 5)The Spook's Apprentice 've you ever read them ? Never heard of the first two or the last two. Harry Potter I have plan to reread it soon. I recently started reading the Sword of Shannara series by Terry Brooks again. I read the first trilogy back in high school, and recently picked up the first three of four books from the next series in canon. So far I'm really enjoying the new series, and anyone who likes fantasy should give them a shot. |

Yes. Talking animals and prophecies make up that book and both are fantasy in their own right. |

Alright. That book was epic. 2nd book ever to make me cry. First was Redeeming the Lost. THAT one had me balling for like 20 minutes (same when LoD disc 1 broke. I still love Andy for giving me his copy) Let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the FLOOR! |

It was epic. I worship it. I came close to crying with it. The first book I ever found revolving around wolves and them actually talking and have some sort of history. I came across it in 7th grade took a month to read it and it became my favorite book. I finally bought my copy that summer and read it the second time in 3 days. A car trip will do that to you. I've read it 4 times. The 4th because I wanted to get ready for Fell. The Sight's sequel. Even though it wasn't as detailed as The Sight it was still really good. I deem David Clement-Davies a genius for these two books and his other one roughly in the same world: Fire Bringer. |

lol I deem R.A. Salvatore a genius for his Legacy of Drizzt series alone. The Sight was awesome. I stuck it on the display for recommended books at the school library, since this is my month to do. As those get checked out (maybe) I will add more. Like Fell. And others. Need to read more books. . .lol Let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the FLOOR! |

I was telling her about your club on here and she liked the idea, because I told her that's why I chose the books I did. Save for Sphere and Contact. Let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the floor. . .let the bodies hit the FLOOR! |
