Am i the only one that think Ansatsu Kyoushitsu sales will raise like SNK when the anime is release?
I think Ansatsu has a high chance of taking the second place of Manga sales of this year.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Ro-Kyu-Bu!'s sales are poor for that series. Very poor.

First week sales:
volume 12 - 2 days - 17678
volume 13 - 5 days - 29159
volume 14 - 2 days - 11368

Fuck. I saw it as the number 7 and immediately assumed it was doing good. I also thought the anime had helped boost the light novels sales. I guess i was very wrong then.

It did. Or, rather, the first season back in 2011 did.

It's fairly unusual for a second anime series to give much of a boost to a LN source material. Which is part of the reason why so many of them never get sequels.

Out of curiosity, how many volumes the two seasons of the anime adapted? And is there any hope for a third season? Although after you telling me those numbers i think i already know the answer...

I don't know. Sorry. I haven't actually watched the anime or read the LN. As for future series, that will depend on the success of the anime and peripherals rather than the LN themselves, particularly if the series is now finished.

If the main story ended with volume 13, though, then the drop makes sense. Like I said, I'm not following this series actively, so I wouldn't know these things.

Ok, no problem. And i really hope that's the reason for the drop in sales.

If i can remenber correctly, the previous two seasons did fairly well, so not everything is lost regarding a third season.

Done deliberately as a record breaker I think. That's not (quite) even the full title.

It's the trend with LN's now. Basically they try and put the synopsis into the title to attract those who may be interested. It's a way of fighting for attention among the other titles on the storefront. However, I think that soon LN's will start using single word titles to differentiate themselves from the noise.

Good to see Golden Time make the list, though the sales aren't very impressive. I had heard that it didn't sell as well as many of the other LNs that have gotten anime adaptations. I'm just glad that they are actually doing the whole story and not doing it half-assed the way they did Pet Girl!

Probably because of its anime. It looks like it is doing a great job advertising the story. =D STB is selling that much probably because of the same reason as Nisekoi *-*

That might be true, if SnK sales will be consistent for the next years and if the manga will published for more than 30 volumes.

One Piece, amazing as always. Been waiting to see this since December! Even volume 72 made it onto the list. Gin no Saji is also amazing, haven't watch/read it yet, but it's doing so well as a SOL series.

Actually no. Shingeki no Kyojin's hype kinda died down. I doubt volume 12 sales could even reach 2mil (anytime soon). One Piece releases a volume every 3months, Shingeki no Kyojin releases a volume every 5months (correct me if I am wrong). If anything, it's Hunter x Hunter that is closer, well, despite the hiatuses.

Nothing really interesting here aside for Jump dominating the list.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

It kinda annoys me that Jump is so dominating. Seems unfair. I hope there is more break out manga not from Jump each year.

Indeed only Hunter x Hunter can put up numbers in the same solar system as One Piece. Ofcourse thats at its best and while being active, which seems like only a dream at the moment. Shingeki isn't even in the same galaxy as the Elite. Although it has done well, it can't last much longer before petering out (it certainly can not put up numbers in the millions consistently since last millenium like OP and HxH).

So the current Strike the Blood arc is "Return of the Alchemist" and the anime is about to end so that means there will be three wonderful volumes not adapted, that's a shame.

Doesn't look like anything but chapter one is translated so far.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with the facts you spouted.

It is true that there is nothing that could match One Piece at the moment. One Piece is basically Japan itself, unless another hidden gem takes Japan by storm again.

Hunter x Hunter cannot out out the same sort of numbers as Shingeki, let alone One Piece.

You are perhaps misinformed, but Shingeki volume 12 came with a limited edition of the Isle's Notebook OVA, and that sold about or around 500k. Combined with the standard edition's sales, you'd get 2 million or close to 2 million. That is elite class... No that is above elite class.

Reaching 1 million is considered a feat only 'elite' series can manage like Sakamoto desu ga?, Naruto (give or take about 1 month), Kimi in Todoke (again, long term sales), Yotsubato!.. Few right? Berserk, Vinland Saga and Vagabond can't even reach those numbers yet they are extremely popular and well received. Hunter x Hunter belongs to the 1 million class, with its recent manga sales.

Disclaimer: I am a fanboy of and I read all 3 series.

Strike the blood at the top of the light novel list...

This is why we can't have nice things.

Volume every 5 months is a bit odd. Shingeki releases like every other manga every 3 months
