| I'm dying to see how they do Eren's scream in the first episode. Bet it won't be as awesome and have no emotion to it like the one in sub. Might just watch to see how they pull the anime off. |

| That Toonami promo above aside (Toonami promos are almost always so gloriously cheesy with their over-the-top announcers and the generic, non-nondescript DRAMATIC MUSIC they always add...) I'm optimistic about the dub. Probably going to watch it again to see how it is, albeit slowly whenever I have some extra time. From what I've heard so far I've got no complaints about the voices except for Armin. His voice sounds...not quite right from what little I've heard, but maybe it'll grow on me, I dunno. Everyone else's voices sound good or at least decent. |
| Definitely re-watching it dubbed! It's Mike freakin McFarland directing it and he did the FMA dub which is the best out there. And from the clips it sounds promising but some voices for me will take a while to get used to. I'm sure Bryce will nail Eren's yelling and anger but I'm nervous to hear his regular speaking voice. |

| Im a 96% dub lover, but im not really feeling this dub acting wise. Papenbrok was screaming way to much as eren. Not being a weeabo here but I feel like the voices dont fit the characters. I really want to like this dub since i can finnaly just watch the show and not read it, please prove me wrong in the next 24 eps funimation. Also hated the cut of the intro and ending, the sao toonami cut intro was done better. Stark700 said: Was there any significant change? | They cut both the OP/ED, I was expecting that. The voice acting was ok for the most part, there were some performances that were better than others. They were a pretty good amount of script changes as well, and some names were mispronounced (Mikasa, Hannes). But it wasn't cringe-worthy at all from my point of view, Bryce did a pretty good job at making Eren seem like an annoying kid, I wonder if he'll get better by the time he has to play Eren's older role. I give the first episode of the dub a 3/5, I went in with some low expectations, but it was pretty decent. |
