I need a couple more suggestions for the theme of this 'club'. Does anyone else know of any other weird or visually appealing anime? Anything would be appreciated. |

Even though it screws with my beliefs of the generic genre, Windy Tales does look like a different breed of animation. And that is what this club is all about. |

I dunno... Mononoke is kind of pushing it. But I'll add it anyway. We need all the stuff we can get. |

Why is Mononoke 'pushing it'? It's as unusual as you can get. One of the best , too. But yeah, I'm partial. =P ![]() |

Aaah! Let me explain. I thought she was talking about Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke. That was the first thing that came to my mind. I was obviously being stupid. The Mononoke you guys are talking about is perfect. ~~*ごめん なさい~~* エル オー エル |

Heyas! just joined this club, I'm currently watching Texhnolyze, it should be here. Just watch the first ep, you'll see what i mean, it is unusual. I'll write something about it when i'm done with, but for now just trust me and give it a try if you're looking for an escape out of the evil cookie-cutters of hell ! x_O Head Over Heels |

I've been watching a lot of weirdness lately (mostly Studio 4°C stuff) and figured Noiseman Sound Insect would fit in here nicely. |

Wow. Thank god you people are here! I would have never found these. I thank you. But Utena just seems a bit too normal, strange as it may be. And I totally forgot about Red Garden. The art wasn't too weird, but the fact that all the characters look like men won me over. |

More Studio 4°C weirdness in the shape of Kung-Fu Love and how about Glassy Ocean, very calm but certainly different. |

I agree completely agree with JNSky over 1001 Nights and Kanashimi na Belladonna, but not about Utena or Red Gardden - Princess Tutu is more unusual by a wide margin than those two. If we're talking mainstream, Baccano! also generally fits better. Also, Ayakashi ~Japanese Classic Horror~ and Mononoke. |

Diary of Tortov Roddle Bavel no Hon Mizu no Kotoba Pale Cocoon There really TONS of manga that are unusual, really. Counting short stories, it'll easily reach hundreds. All art has been contemporary. -Maurizio Nannucci |
